We sat nex tto each other without uttering a single word. The teach walked past us with the last two tests remaining in his hands as he fixed his glasses. He slid the first test to Rose as she looked at it with blank eyes. She later then smirked as she slid the test to me. I looked at her, confused as she avoided eye contact with me.
"That test is yours. You scored perfect." she said lighty, trying to disguise the pain and darkness her voice still held from the incident before school. My eyes flickered from her to the test as my eyes scrolled up to the mark..(100/100) I sighed. I studied hard for these types of tests, and always passing with flying colors with envious eyes lingering on me as I did my imaginary happy dance. The happy dance...one of the ways to make you a total a-hole to the public as you shake your ass rubbing your victory to the world.
"Ms. Shaw, very well done." the teacher said, feeling somewhat ashamed for mixing up each other's tests. She seemed to smile at her mark as I took a quick glance at her paper. (100/100). I gave out a slight pout as Rose groaned.
"Please, just call me Rose." she pressed, as one of her hands balled up into a tight fist. The teacher understood as he went back to the blackboard to discuss more lessons, our brains melting from the lack of excitement from sparking in this class. Ever since that guy suffered from that heart attack, the entire school's population were under the excitement and hype but also at the mercy of Rose at that time. Now she was treated as a normal student but we all couldn't ignore the fact that she wasn't the normal girl to walk in...she was different in her own dark and envious way of living in this messed up world.
I couldn't help but wonder if Rose was doing all of us a favour by warning everyone who gossiped, scowled or harassed her everytime she set fott in the school. This school would be a more fantastic enviroment if all the students learned their precious lessons on how to treat their peers with more respect. And not only to the studets but to the teachers as well...But the tought of teaching lessons by attacking them on a string under Rose's favour would just be utterly disgusting.
I couldn't doubt that thought.
After last period, I was walking alone to my locker as I saw Rose walkinga few steps ahead of me. Her arms were still wrapped around that strange notebook as she stopped at her own locker, careful not to leave her belongings in plain sight after what happened last time. The same group of guys were lingering around her...almost afraid to even touch her. Well, she was full-proof for ever getting raped by any guy in these long hallways.
I decided not to bother with them or her...she knew I was around and she knew that I would stop her if she ever attempted to harm any of these students. She kept quiet as she shoved her text books into her leather bag. Soon, she slammed her locker shut as she walked slowly to the front entrance of the school. One of the guys grazed her butt as they raced outside, trying to avoid her.
I jogged along side her as her lips formed a straight tight line. She was frustrated.
"That wasn't so bad..was it?" I asked, trying to englighten her spirits with a bit of humor. She glared at me as she stopped at her tracks.
"Shut up..."she sneered, her long bangs shadowing her round eyes.
"I know you wanted to do it when they grazed your butt." I teased. I felt no laughter sparking up in her system. She was still furious at me for stopping her with the guy at the field.
"I didn't do anything!" she said insisting that she was purely innocent.
"Alright...if you didn't do it...you didn't do it. But how can I be so sure that it was all just pure coincidence?" I asked, raising an eyebrow peculiarly.
