"Wow, that's amazing! Can I hear you rap a bit?"
"Oh, no, Junhyung is exaggerating a bit. So, are you guys and the girls all studying at universities while pursuing music? Hwan hyung and Minji noona are at Yonsei University, right?"
"Yeah, so we took a leave of absence. We wanted to put our lives into music before it's too late. Originally, I was planning to take a break at home and then head to Hongdae, but I saw Junhyung's post on the community and decided to build our skills in Gwangju with you guys."
Except for Park Inhyuk, who studied law at Chonnam National University, everyone else dreamed of becoming rappers. Of course, they weren't as extreme as Sanghyun and Junhyung, but they had put their lives on the line in their own ways.
The only exception, Park Inhyuk, had a unique goal of becoming a 'hip-hop producer and agency.'
"In pop terms, he's like Brian Epstein of The Beatles, and in rap terms, he's like Dr. Dre to me. Dr. Dre, who was ignored among black people because he was white, discovered and nurtured Eminem. I want to set up an amazing hip-hop agency that spans Korea, the US, Japan, and Europe."
After talking excitedly for a while, Park Inhyuk ended the conversation on a somber note, saying that his successful lawyer and prosecutor parents would kill him if they found out.
Sanghyun felt like he understood Park Inhyuk's heart. Sanghyun also wanted to rap, but he chose a different path because of reality.
"So, including the friend who hasn't arrived yet, we're six in total. Is this the full lineup, or are you open to more members?"
"If we can recruit more, we should. But we shouldn't blindly increase the number. Once the crew system is established, we need to carefully recruit people who won't disrupt the system and team chemistry."
"What about the practice room?"
Junhyung nudged Sanghyun's shoulder.
"This guy has an incredible practice room at his place. It's like a huge attic, and we've finished setting up recording equipment, so we've been using it for a while now."
"Can we all use it too?"
"Of course. We spent a lot of money on it to share it with everyone."
"Kim Ho-ni was pleased with Sang-hyeon's words and didn't know what to do. The five, including Sang-hyeon, chattered excitedly like they had known each other for years. When Oh Min-ji, who graduated from Yonsei University's Department of Philosophy, habitually quoted Nietzsche and Kant, they all joined forces to rebuke her."
"Wow! So, can we also visit the L&S band practice room?"
"We'll have to get permission in advance, but if our smooth-talking Jun hyung and Minji noona flash their puppy eyes at L&S, they'll surely allow us, right? I'm confident!"
"Junhyung is socializing a bit, huh? The newbie is buttering up?"
"Buttering up? If Hwan oppa wants to shout 'Akaraka,' he should be careful with his words, shouldn't he?"
Kim Hwan was taken aback by Minji's threat. 'Akaraka' was the official Yonsei University cheer.
"Oh, alumni connections..."
"I'm not the kind of person who fusses about school ties."
Amidst the laughter and chatter, the last person who was running late finally arrived. As everyone stood up and greeted the high school girl who opened the door and walked in, Sanghyun had to doubt his own eyes.
"Ah...!"
Distinctively Eastern facial features. Soft and melodious voice.
The person who had influenced Sanghyun's choice with the song "Remission."
