"Give me a call before you come to the lab next week," Professor Kim Woon-chul requested.

"Got it," Seong-hyun replied politely. After exchanging farewells, Seong-hyun and Professor Kim Woon-chul shook hands firmly, and then Professor Kim Woon-chul left the café. Seong-hyun sat back in his seat, listening to the songs playing on the LP record, lost in thought.

"Good things come all at once," he mused. Initially, he didn't think it would be of much help, but upon reflection, it seemed like a great opportunity. Having a musician record his voice with professional voice analysis equipment, and being able to listen to it—it was indeed a tremendous blessing.

"Spiritual voice," he pondered. Honestly, he wasn't entirely convinced of the concept of "uenyeong." However, there was truth in the saying that "words have power." Even though he didn't believe in spiritual voices entirely, he was certain that there were voices that were more readily accepted by others.

"It would be great if the crew could join too," he thought. However, since Professor Kim was the subject of the research, he hesitated to ask too soon.

While Seong-hyun was lost in various thoughts, his phone notified him of a text message. It was from his sister, Sang-mi.

- "Where are you, oppa?"
- "I'm in the city. Why?"
- "Come home. I have something to tell you."

Something to tell him?

- "Have you eaten lunch?"
- "Yes."
- "Then I'll buy red bean shaved ice for you to take home. It's at home."
- "Hurry back."

Seong-hyun left the café and bought two red bean shaved ice desserts from a specialty shop that Sang-mi liked. After dealing with his homeroom teacher, Mr. Hong, and Professor Kim, it was now his sister's turn. Today seemed like a day of running around everywhere.

On the bus ride home, he called Sang-mi and briefly explained his conversation with Professor Kim. After about thirty minutes of listening to her congratulatory remarks, he arrived home.

"It's already melted," Sang-mi remarked when she saw him.

Seong-hyun shook the red bean shaved ice, which felt more like water than ice. He quickly pressed the doorbell, and the door opened.

"Sang-mi, what if it was someone else?"

"I saw you, oppa."

"But it could've been someone who looks similar."

"You idiot, I saw your face from the rooftop."

Seong-hyun had no words as he put the red bean shaved ice into the freezer while scolding Sang-mi.

"Wash up!" he said.

"I just woke up!"

"It's already three in the afternoon. Even though it's vacation, a high school senior not even bothering to comb their hair... and then you'll hide in the room when the crew members come over."

"Ugh. Do you know how bothersome it is for a girl to cut her hair?"

"They say it's about three centimeters below the earlobe. Why not cut it beforehand?"

"Ugh."

After a moment of contemplation, Sang-mi chuckled and exclaimed, "I'm going into the job market!"

"Really?"

"I'm still considering."

Seong-hyun knew that one of the reasons Sang-mi resented him in the past was that he took away all opportunities for learning from her. So, this time, with some financial flexibility, he expected Sang-mi to choose studying.
