At first, Hwang Ju-cheol thought it might be possible, but now, with the current situation, he almost wanted to sue for defamation.
"So you're saying there won't be an interview?"
"No, who are you to decide whether there will be an interview or not? I asked for Baega."
"He said he won't do it."
Finally sensing something amiss in the staff's words, Hwang Ju-cheol felt a sense of disbelief.
"He won't do it?" It sounded as if the staff member was speaking as if he were Baega himself.
"Perhaps..."
"Absolutely not."
The staff member disappeared into the building.
Hwang Ju-cheol, as a last resort, texted Baega's number he got from his junior. A firm response came back.
- I said I won't do it, didn't I? If you want to see the performance, wait in line like everyone else. And if you dare take photos and make comments without permission, I'll sue you. You know we have a lot of money, right?
Hwang Ju-cheol checked the message and frowned. Then, cursing under his breath, he trudged to the back of the line, feeling the weight of his heavy camera even more intensely.
Now, Hwang Ju-cheol was determined.
"Fine, let's see if you won't give an interview." With determination, Hwang Ju-cheol dialed his phone, holding it tightly. After 12 calls, he finally got the phone number of the owner of Club Homie.
"Damn, my battery is running low."
With the number in hand, he dialed the owner's number and spoke.
"Oh, of course. Yes, yes. I'll include a map and specify it's Club Homie. Well, the promotional effect goes without saying, right? Our magazine has over 30,000 regular subscribers annually. You know, our magazine is in every hair salon nationwide? Haha."
Hwang Ju-cheol held onto the phone for a while after the call ended.
"Haha, just have the owner call Baega to arrange the interview. I don't ask for much. Surely, Baega won't refuse a request from the owner, right? Oh, and..."
Hwang Ju-cheol gently urged the owner of Club Homie to fulfill his request.
"Among today's guests, there's a team called 888, and I want Baega to meet them."
"Could you also ask for the interview to be arranged?" Hwang Ju-cheol tapped his calculator in his mind. If he could secure an interview with the 888 crew?
"This is what they call a stroke of luck." If the owner of Homie Club requested it, Baega could never refuse an interview. Considering the tremendous time and effort Baega poured into performing at Club Homie every month-end.
"Yes, yes. Oh my, they're all Baega's brothers. Is there any way they wouldn't do it? Unless Baega is ignoring the owner's request, there's no way he would do that."
Hwang Ju-cheol finally ended the call with the owner of Club Homie and grinned with satisfaction. Then he confidently entered the club.
The club staff handling ticketing momentarily stopped him, but with just one word saying he had spoken with the owner, the way was cleared.
"If we get the 888 interview, the owner will be ecstatic." Securing the 888 interview alone would undoubtedly resolve the controversy surrounding Showbiz, and depending on how it's packaged, the interview could create a significant buzz.
As Hwang Ju-cheol entered the club, he began to casually capture the audience enjoying the DJ party before the performance.
