"Hyung! Inhyuk hyung! Hurry up to the stage!"
"Huh? To the stage?"
The crew members were already outside the broadcast van, watching the Gwangju UP music video. Since the Gwangju UP music video wasn't being broadcasted through Baseball Story, it couldn't be seen from the broadcast van.
"Why?"
"We have to do Gwangju UP."
Sanghyun urged the crew members. The first verse of the music video was coming to an end. As the 888 crew members realized Sanghyun's intention and went up to the stage, a staff member approached them with a puzzled expression.
"We only have four wireless microphones. What should we do?"
Except for Sanghyun, Junhyung, and Hayeon, who were originally part of the Gwangju UP performance crew, only one person could hold a microphone.
"Shall I bring headsets used by the Codenames?"
"Uh, headsets are only needed at PC bangs."
Bae Inhyuk shivered. As the staff handed over the microphone, all eyes turned to one person—Sangmi.
"Sangmi, you'll use this microphone."
"Me? Is it okay?"
"Of course. You can do it, right?"
Sanghyun led Sangmi to the center of the stage. Sangmi suddenly felt nervous and swallowed hard, but she didn't step back from the stage.
Among the eight crew members today, Sangmi was the only one who hadn't been on stage yet. Woo Minho had also directed impressive scenes with MPC. Sangmi was also a member of the 888 crew and was helpful to everyone. So, it wouldn't be right for her to feel excluded alone on stage.
All the crew members were aware of this and unanimously decided to hand the microphone to Sangmi.
"Do you know all the lyrics?"
"Yeah. But, unlike you guys, I didn't practice any doubles or anything..."
"Right now, this song isn't a solo, it's a song sung by the 888 crew. Just sing however you feel from start to finish. You can forget the lyrics or mess up. Anyway, the other seven will be singing along."
As Sanghyun stroked Sangmi's head, a buzzing noise was heard. Then, flames burst out from the stage.
The eyes of the members on stage met, and they began to perform, moving around and acting out.
"Where is it! Can't you come out already!"
Inhyuk ran around the stage shouting. Minji, who had been seriously acting, suddenly burst out laughing.
The chorus began.
Gwangju UP! Gwangju UP!
The light, the pride of Gwangju UP!
The city of culture and art, Gwangju UP!
Gwangju where we live, UP!The "UP!" sound wasn't very audible. The sound of balloons popping, louder than voices, filled the stadium.
Among the audience, a few banners with "Gwangju UP!!!" written on them fluttered. Though they couldn't be seen clearly from afar, it seemed like Kim Hyemi, a Tigers supporter she had met by chance on the street, kept her promise.
Sanghyun started rapping.
No, everyone started rapping together.
Capturing the beauties arriving at Gwangju Station
Dressed stylishly like the scent of fragrance
The city where the energy of Mt. Mudeungsan settles
With a stronger accent and roots than anywhere else
