After finishing the interview and wrapping up all the schedules, the atmosphere became extremely lively. The members who participated in the after-party were having a great time, each enjoying themselves. L&S members, Miju, Sanghyeon, and Junhyeong were also completely absorbed in the atmosphere, having a blast.
"Let's drink!"
Members of other bands, already quite tipsy, crowded around Sanghyun and Junhyeong, asking for their phone numbers. However, Min-sik and the rest of L&S adamantly refused, saying they were off-limits.
"No way! They're ours!"
Members of 888 Crew, eager for their own exclusive performance, clung to Junhyeong, their leader. As aspiring musicians, they felt something stirring in them after watching today's performance.
Sangmi and her friends looked at the band members, now as excited as if they had just seen celebrities.
Meanwhile, Mi-ju got the shots ready.
"Hey, Sanghyun, wanna join me for a drink? Oh, you're so sweet."
"Sis! Sanghyun is underage."
"I know!"
"What if someone finds out?"
"Wait, are you Sanghyun's guardian? Aren't you the same age?"
"Same age?! I'm one year older!"
The intense battle between Mi-ju trying to get Sanghyun to drink and Ha-yeon blocking her unfolded. It was like a breathless offense and defense.
However, the fierce battle ended quite simply.
Thinking it was cider, Ha-yeon downed a shot of soju in one go, getting drunk.
"Sanghyun, come here. Let's have a drink with Mi-ju."
"Come on! Come on!"
Drunk Ha-yeon teamed up with Mi-ju to make Sanghyun drink, but Sanghyun's steadfast resolve not to drink secretly prevailed, leaving Mi-ju and Ha-yeon the only ones getting drunker.
Conversations about the performance, music, and people continued endlessly. Sanghyun soon mingled with members of other bands. They quickly became friendly, as they received warm looks from those who had watched their performance.
The atmosphere was good, but it came to an end when the owner of the barbecue restaurant found Junhyung intoxicated. The adults left for a pub, while the minors took taxis home. After dropping off Hayeon, Sangmi headed home, and Sanghyun safely escorted the intoxicated Hayeon to his house.
Despite hardly drinking any alcohol, seeing Hayeon stumbling made Sanghyun realize he must have consumed alcohol somewhere else.
"Hey, Hayeon, where's your home?"
"At Daheung Sky... Which block? It's... Dongdong..."
Sanghyun sighed and helped Hayeon stabilize. He regretted not buying gum or something from the convenience store.
However, while Hayeon slept, Sanghyun reflected on the experience of the performance. The energy of the stage, the audience, and the music resonated with him, but technical issues left him feeling disappointed. The bass cable malfunctioning and the problems with the monitoring speakers were regrettable.
While songs like "Let's Move", "Gwangju UP", and "Run this town" received great responses, the rap ballad "About Love" didn't blend well with the band, which was disappointing.
"It's still a long way. Can't let myself get drunk on the first drink."
Nevertheless, the performance was amazing. Sitting on a bench where a refreshing breeze blew unexpectedly for early summer, Sanghyun couldn't help but think of his parents.
