Chapter 16

The following morning, Abhimanyu, Aarohi, Shivansh, and Roohi went to Udaipur Public School. After parking the car in the parking lot, Shivansh went to his class while the trio headed to the principal's office. They sat in the waiting area. When their turn came, they headed into the cabin.

They exchanged pleasantries and took their seats.

"How may I help you!" Mrs. Advani, the principal said.

Abhimanyu didn't beat around the bush and came to the main point of the meeting. "Roohi is getting bullied!"

"I'm sorry to hear that," Mrs. Advani said. "Can I know what happened?"

"Sure, ma'am. So..." Aarohi explained the details of how her friends made her uncomfortable.

Mrs. Advani looked at Roohi. "What are their names, Roohi beta?"

"Misha, Aarushi, and Kiana," Roohi answered.

"We'll talk to the parents and tell them to stop. Otherwise, those kiddos will be in detention. Our school doesn't take bullying lightly," she told the parents. While looking at Roohi and smiling at her, she said, "If they bully you again, please report it. It doesn't matter if they say they're joking; it doesn't change the hurt they caused you, okay?"

Roohi hummed, nodding her head. Abhimanyu and Aarohi stood up. "Thank you for taking action into consideration!" Aarohi said.

"The pleasure is all mine, Mrs Birla. These things should be discussed more openly." She stood up as well. She shook hands with Aarohi, Abhomnayu, and Roohi as well.

Roohi went to class, while Abhimanyu and Aarohi drove to the hospital. During the drive, both of them spoke nothing. Abhomanyi drove into the hospital and parked his car. "Aarohi?" Abhimanyu called her.

"Yes." Aarohi snapped out of her thoughts.

"Dhyan kaha retha hai tumhara?" he asked exasperated since she said nothing about the kiss they shared last night. Was she angry at him? But she initiated it!

"Uh... nothing!" she said.

"Are you shy?" He tapped on the steering wheel, not looking at her.

"Why would I be shy?" she asked.

"You know why!"

"No, I don't"

"Yes, you do and it's because of the kiss. But let me remind you, you were the one who kissed me first. I just reciprocated it."

"It's nothing. I'm just worried about Roohi!" she half lied.

"Yeah, yeah, and pigs fly." Abhimanyu rolled his eyes.

She changed the subject. "And we're getting late. Let me remind you, our shift starts at nine a.m. and it's eight fifty-five." Opening the car door, she gets out and runs into the hospital. Meanwhile, Abhimanyu chuckled, getting out of the driver's seat. Locking the car, he padded to the hospital.
