Chapter 12

A few days later, all the sunken ships' cargo was retrieved. Izuku was treated for his wounds, and dehydration, and interviewed by Nezu about what he had seen. 

Nezu: The creature you found was a type of eel not previously discovered that had been affected by a quirk. Others of its species, found at the same depth were quite small, no bigger than your pinkie finger.

Izuku: Seriously? No fucking way.

Izuku looked at a few eels the salvage team collected, and Nezu was right. They were tiny, no bigger than his finger, and not aggressive.

Izuku: So the increase in size made it aggressive?

Nezu: We're assuming that's the case. Since you discovered them, what would you like to name them?

Izuku stared at the little eels for a bit, his pinky in the water, watching as the eels swam up to it and nibbled on it or swam away whenever he moved his hand.

Izuku: Pinky's.

Nezu stared for a moment.

Nezu: Pinky's..?

Izuku: They're small and not bigger than my pinky like you said. So, pinky's.

Nezu: I- alright then, I'll note that for later. In the meantime, you noticed the large buildings in the distance, right?

Nezu gestured to his window, Izuku looking outside to the dorm buildings in the distance.

Iuzku: Yeah, I noticed. Is this for the students because of what happened after the USJ incident?

Nezu: Yes, it is. It will be watched by four titans of varying chassis types circling a perimeter 24/7. If anything somehow gets past the gates, they will be swiftly eliminated.

Izuku: That's awesome.

Izuku looked around the location of the dorms, seeing another building in the background.

Izuku: Hey, what's that one back there supposed to be? Why's it only connected to one of the dorms?

Nezu: That one is for you and your fiancée Ms. Yaoyorozu. Her father also said you had made a deal with his company to provide metals for the Titans from hereon out, so I thank you for that. He's even adding a bonus in weapons for us because of that book you found on that trash island.

Izuku: Why's that?

Nezu: It, along with the dagger we found on the skeleton, belonged to an ancestor of his who had been lost at sea. The bones don't belong to the ancestor in question, but from what we found in the little book he was another unfortunate man lost at sea who had survived because of the book and dagger.

Izuku: Well, shit, that's good to hear. What's next?

Nezu: Well, besides returning the bones to the family, we still have the upcoming Sports Festival, so I suggest helping your classes train with and without their titans and spend some time with your fiancée.

Izuku: Shit, that's right, Momo and I are technically engaged now. Are the dorms nearing completion?

Izuku stood up and shook hands with Nezu.
