Chapter 2

The press conference with Rahil was successful. They had easily clarified to media that there was nothing between them.
At that moment, they had just finished their press conference and she was wearing civil clothes while being with Rahil at his hotel.
Rahil: finally, they got the point. Mujhe to Laga bohat mushkil Hoga.
Haseena: hum ne bohat si press conference Anubhav k sath face ki hai to media reporters bhi Anubhav ko jante hi Hoge. Khair, ab hum chalte hain.
Rahil: haan Meri bhi shooting ka time ho gea hai. He said while looking at his watch.
Haseena knew she had to make another excuse to meet him so she turned to him before he would leave.
Haseena: Rahil ji, ap se ek favor chahiye.
Rahil (while still looking at his watch): ji kahiye.
She commonly won't ask favor from a person who would show such attitude to her but now it was question of her mission and she didn't want to miss the chance
Haseena: drasal agar ap k pass Thoda time ho to hum chahte hain k ap Anubhav ki maa se mil Lai .
At that he looked at her.
Haseena: actually woh jab se Anubhav ki death hui hai woh bilkul toot Gai hai aur woh manne ko tyari hi nahi hai k Anubhav nahi Rahe, woh samjhti hai k woh ek mission par gae hain aur wapis aa jae ge. Agar ap in se mil lain to shayad woh zindagi ki taraf lot aaen.
At that he looked at her with bewildered expression for a moment. Then he nodded with simple expression. Heseena tried to  find something on his face but found nothing.
Rahil: thek hai, mujhe koi problem nahi hai. Agar ap kahe to main abhi do mahine yahi hun, shooting k silsile main to har weekend par in se aa kar mil Liya karun ga. Mgr Meri ek shart hai.
Haseena: (a little uncertain) Kaisi shart?
Rahil with big smile: k ap bhi wohi Hogi mere sath aur mujhe weekend par ghar ka khana bana kar khilae gi.
Haseena: humari cooking itni achi nahi hai.
Rahil: woh to main kha kar bataun ga.
Haseena replied with a smile: thek hai, phir hm chalte hain.
Rahil: main apko chor dun?
Haseena: nahi, gaadi hai humare pass, bus ap apna wada nibhaiye ga.
Rahil: ek Pathan ka aur ek army officer k bete ka wada hai, woh tode ga nahi.
At that she smiled and left.
As soon as she left, his smile vanished for a moment.
"Kya soch Rahe hai sir?" Sona interrupted. He shook his head and went towards the exit of the hotel.
The last thought was in his mind about Haseena. "Kuch to hai Jo yeh ladki mujh se chupa rahi hai. Yeh dusri ladkiyon ki tarha na Meri fan hain aur na hi mujh se impress mgr is ladki ki Kahani main Kuch aur bhi hai Jo mujhe pata lagana pade ga."

Rahil came to visit maa and she found him a little nervous about to meet her.
Rahil: Kya mujhe Anubhav banana pare ga.
Haseena: is ki zarurat nahi hai. Bus ap in se mil lijie aur in ko maa kahh kar pukarna.
When he went to that old lady, he felt a pang in his heart to see her in such painful state.
Haseena: maa, daikhiye kon aaya hai?
Haseena called for her as she was having hearing problems these days.
Maa looked at Rahil and her tears started to stream. "Anu…" she held his face suddenly and he still felt nervous and looked at Haseena for help. Haseena looked closely at him as she still had doubt that he could be Anubhav but his behavior was so different to let her think otherwise.
Rahil: haan,main hi hun maa!
At that Haseena mouthed him to use "hum" instead of "main". He understood and started to use hum and talk a little bit with maa.
Haseena went to kitchen and brought some food for maa. She asked Rahil to feed her.
He understood and and feed maa and gave her medicine.
After that they had dinner in which Rahil asked about Anubhav.
Haseena answered forlornly. "Woh ek mission k doran humain bachane k Liye shaheed ho gae the. Inka dushman humain Marna Chahta tha take woh in se desh k khilaf Kam Karwa sake. Ek bar phir se inhe desh aur humare darmiyan Kisi ek ko chunana padta aur is bar shayad inho ne is chunao se munh mod Liya.
Rahil also went silent after listening to her story.
Rahil: Matlab Anubhav ko humesha hi apke aur mulk k darmiyan Kisi na Kisi ko chunana padta tha.

Haseena shook her head. "Nahi woh to humain apni taqat mante the." She smiled proudly while thinking about her moment with him.
Rahil had a thoughtful smile after listening to her words.

Haseena shook her head. "Hum nahi mante, humari misal apke samne hain."

After that he has started to visit regularly. Due to him, maa also started to recover and she also cooked for him sometimes to which he praised so much.
During that time, she deliberately started to spend time with him while giving charge of Thana to KS. She knew that if she would be successful to win Rahil heart, she would eventually leave Thana and it would be good chance for Karishma to learn her responsibility.
It had been two months, since his regular visit to Anubhav home. During that time, they had also become good friends. She also told him her life story and her experience with Anubhav. He was a good listener and never interrupted her.
She was also surprise to know that also had great interest in poetry too. He read many famous poems to her and also gifted some good books to her.
It was his last visit to maa, as he was going to tell her that he was going to mission but he promised Haseena that he was would call maa regularly, so that she would have hope.
While she was busy in kitchen, he was talking someone on a video call while she arrived with his tea.
She put the tea on the table in front of him and took her seat.
The person on the call: Chachu, yeh wohi ladki hain naa, jis k sath apka scandal bana tha.
Rahil: Kya kah Rahe ho ahista bolo, Kisi ne sun Liya to mushkil ho jae gi.
Nomi: haan to ap karain to Ras Leela, hum karain to character dheela.
Haseena who was listening to the conversation suddenly felt embarrassed. He also signed her of being sorry.
She shook her head and sign him to continue.
Nomi: humari Chachi se to bat karwae naa!
Rahil: (surprised) kon si Chachi?
Nomi: wohi Jin ko ap ishara kar Rahe the. Wow! Humari Chachi indian Hogi, main to brag karne Wala hun.
Rahil: (sternly): Nomi!
At that Haseena looked at him and his warning expression was exactly like Anubhav when he was serious about something.
Nomi: acha thek hai, main Kisi ko nahi bataun ga, ap Mera Kam to karain dada aba ko kahe naa main be foj main nahi Jana. Mujhe painter banana hai.
Rahil: bilkul nahi, baba to Meri bat bilkul nahi sune ge.

Rahil warned him. "Nomi…"
Nomi: sorry Chachu, but ek bar try to karo.

Nomi also hang up the call.
Rahil then looked at Haseena who had sad expression on her face.
Rahil: Kya soch rahi hai haseena?"
Haseena shook her head and took a sip from her coffee. She and Anubhav were coffee person. She remembered her incomplete coffee date with him but Rahil always preferred tea. And one time he requested her to make doodh pati for him in which she just needed to add a very little bit of tea leaves and sugar. He didn't like adrak chae. But he liked qahwa or green tea to which she didn't like.
Haseena: ap ne humari itni madad ki, ek ajnabi k Liye itna samay nikala, is k Liye hum apki bohat shukar guzar hai.
Rahil: shukar guzari wali Kya bat hai haseena. Mana k yeh Mera mulk nahi hai, mgr insaniyat to hain naa mujh main.
After that there was a little bit silence between them. After finishing his tea, Rahil turned to Haseena completely.
Rahil: kabhi kabhar sun kar ajeeb lagta hai, aise ek insan ka Apne mulk aur apni mahboba se itni mohabat karna. Main to sirf sun kar hi in Anubhav ka fan ho gea hun. Yeh hum stars log Jo itni acting kar k award laite hain, asal sitaray to Anubhav jaise log hote hain.
Haseena: ap ek army family se taluq rakhte hain, apko to Andaza hi Hoga.
At that Rahil took a deep breath and there was sadness in his eyes.
Rahil: main samjh sakta hun, kuk main ne bhi Kisi ko uske mulk ki waja se khoya hai.
Haseena: kon hai woh?
Rahil: Mera chota Bhai tha. Force main tha, phir shaheed ho gea.
At that Haseena  also understood his pain.
Haseena: hum I am sorry nahi kahe ge mgr yeh zarur kahe ge k hum apka dukh samjh sakte hain.
Rahil: yeh to ek sipahi ka farz hota hai aur uska naseeb bhi.
After a while Rahil asked permission to ask a question to Haseena about something if she didn't mind. She told him to ask.
Rahil: mujhe lagta hai k yeh maa se mil kar hum dono ne Jo inko umeed di hai woh nahi daini chahiye thi. Woh mujhe Anubhav samjhne lagi hai, agar unhe thek hone k bad pata chala to woh kaise samnhal pae gi.
Haseena: inki fikar nahi karain, woh ek officer ki maa hai, inhe malum hai k Anubhav bohat arse tak mission par rahte hain.
Rahil: aur ap Haseena?
Haseena looked at his eyes and found myraids of Emotions there.
Haseena: hum Kya?
Rahil: ap kabhi samnbal pae gi?
She smiled sadly. "Hum sanbhal bhi gae hain aur haqiqat ko man bhi gae hain. Yaqin maniye ap Yahan aate hain mgr hum ne kabhi bhi apko Anubhav samjh kar khud ko dhoka daine ka nahi Socha.
Rahil: aur move on kab karain gi?
Haseena: saal se zayada ho gea hai is bat ko, hum move on kar chuke hain.
Rahil: phir Kisi ko Zindagi main shamil ku nahi kar laiti.
Haseena: humari Ami dhund rahi hai,jaise hi woh Kisi ladke ko Pasand karain gi hum shadi kar lain ge, she lied.
Rahil: Yani ap settle hona chahti hai.
At that Haseena nodded.
Rahil: main bhi 36 ka to ho gea,I also want to settle down. Then let's settle down together.
At that she looked at him with wide eyes. "Ji?"
Rahil while looking into her bewildered eyes. "Daikho Haseena, main ap se jhut nahi kahun ga. Yeh nahi hai k mujhe ap se in do months main bohat shadeed mohabat ho Gai hai. Ap se pahle Meri Zindagi main chand ladkiyan aai thi mgr thahra koi bhi nahi. Ek k sath to bat shadi tak pohanch Gai thi mgr phir breakup ho gea tha. Tab Socha tha k ek aisi ladki se shadi Karun ga Jo mujhe Aur meri family ko sath Le kar chalain. Bohat si ladkiyon se Mila hun, mgr ap tak pohanch kar Meri talash khatam ho Gai hai. Agar ap ne arrange marriage ek ajnabi insan se hi Karni hai, to main to apke Liye itna ajnabi nahi hun.
Haseena was holding her cup with a dumbfounded expression. She couldn't believe that her mission was going towards success this easily. She never thought that she had something especial to attract any man less than a famous actor belonged to elite family.

Rahil looked at her bewildered expression and apologized. "Sorry agar ap koi romantic proposal expect kar rahi thi."
Haseena: nahi actually hum bus shock hai.
Rahil: to?
Haseena: yeh itna aasan nahi Hoga Rahil ji,
Rahil: is Liye k main ek Pakistani Hoon?
Haseena: nahi yeh bat nahi hai, nahi actually yahi bat hai mgr mujhe apki nationality se masla nahi hai. Actually ap se shadi karne ka Matlab hai k humain Apne desh aur duty ko chhorna pade ga.
Rahil: magar ap ne to kaha tha k ap shayad police ki nokri se resign kar dain gi kuk Anubhav k Jane k bad apka Dil uth gea hai.
At that she remembered that she had said the same words to him. She told him this because she wanted to make his mind that she was ready to leave her duty behind already. Otherwise he would doubt her intention if she would take this decision suddenly.
Haseena modded: "thek hai hum soch kar jawab dain ge."
Rahil looked at her and smiled: "main intazar Karun ga. Aur jab tak ap haan ya nA ka jawab nahi de gi, Kisi aur ladki k mutaliq sochun ga bhi nahi, yeh ek Pathan ka promise hai."
She smiled at that. Now she knew what should she do now.
