Knocking was heard on Otto's office door before the guard announced to his daughter, "Hello, father, you wish to see me." Anna said, bowing her head slightly out of respect, even though she did not respect him.
"Yes, I did. How are you, my dear?" He said, still not looking up at her.
"I'm doing well, father, but I highly doubt that is what you have called me in here for." Anna replied to her father, looking slightly suspicious, making him chuckle slightly as she sat down in a chair.
"Yes, you are right. Your name came up during the meeting today; in the king's words, he has heard nothing but great things about you, and he wanted to express his gratitude for doing your best to keep the princess on top of her duties."
"Oh, of course, I care deeply for the princess and how people view me. If the princess were to not uphold her image and perform her duties with the utmost elegance and grace, I would be seen as incapable, which I very much am not." She spoke with complete seriousness, but in reality, all she wants is for Rhaenyra to be happy, and if she keeps her image and performs her duties, she won't have as many eyes on her, and she can live a happier life.
"Yes, well, continue to do what you are supposed to do. I do not need you embarrassing me," Otto replied. Before she could reply, there was a knock on the door.
"Lady Anna, the princess, has requested your presence immediately and requested that I escort you to her," a knight said to the lady, who stood up from the chair.
"Very well then; thank you, ser. Let's not defy the order of the princess. Good day, father," Anna said, bidding her father a goodbye, following after the knight.
"Where is Princess Rhaenyra Ser?" I'm sorry, I do not have the pleasure of knowing your name," Anna said after realizing she was not familiar with the knight.
"The princess has requested that you meet her at the throne room, and my name is Rowan, my lady," the man replied as they walked.
"Ah well, it is a pleasure to meet you, Rowan," she responded. It was not long before they had turned, walking down the hall to the throne room, being joined by Princess Rhaenyra and Ser Harrold as they walked.
"Hello princess, Sir Harold Rowan, you may be excused. Thank you," Anna said with a kind smile.
"Of course, my lady, Princess, good day," Rowan responded, bowing before taking his leave.
"Are you alright, my dear? Why have you requested me here?" Anna asked in concern as she grabbed the young girl's hand, looking over her and making her laugh, and Ser Harrold smiled at the older girl's concern.
"Yes, Anna, I am fine." Daemon has come to the king's landing; he is in the throne room." Rhaenyra told her, making her nod.
"Ah well, of course, let's not keep the rogue prince waiting," she responded with sarcasm, making them look at each other before bursting out in laughter.
"He passed through the red keep gates at first light," Ser Harrold told the two girls as they approached the throne room doors.
"Does my father know he is here?" Asked Rhaenyra, looking back at him.
"No," he responded, shaking his head.
"Good" was all she said as he opened the doors to the throne room, letting Rhaenyra and Anna walk through, only to see the prince perched up on the throne like he owned it, like he was meant to be their
"God be god." Ser Harold said under his breath, in disbelief, that the prince is sitting on the king's throne, a very treasonous action.
"It's aright, ser," Rhaenyra assured her knight, waving him off as the two girls walked down the stairs and closer to Daemon.
