Rhaenyra stood watching everyone move before looking to her side, hearing her title being called, and seeing a man decorated in lions approaching her.
"I wonder, Princess, was your own second name day as grand as this?" he asked.
"I honestly don't recall, and neither will Aegon and Aelor, but the older people do remember," she replied.
"Lord Jason Lannister," the man said, bowing to her with a cocky smile. She gave a tense smile in return, nodding her head.
"I gathered that from all the lions," she said, gesturing to his clothes, already annoyed with the man in front of her.
"I don't think we have been properly introduced." Lord Lannister said, making Rhaenyra roll her eyes, looking at the ground.
"Your brother serves on my father's council," she stated.
"Tyland is frightfully dull. Gods love him," he said as he grabbed two cups of wine from a servant walking by. "The finest honeyed wine you'll ever taste, made in Lansisport, of course," he said, making the princess roll her eyes once again, muttering "of course" as she gulped down some of the wine.
"the Kingswood It's a fine hunting ground, but the best spot is to be found at Casterly Rock, near my home. Have you been?
"Once... on tour with my mother when I was young, and honestly, I can't recall much of that either," Rhaenyra said, laughing slightly at the end.
"The Rock is three times the height of the Hightower in Oldtown, taller still than the wall in the north. It's been said that if one were to stand in the tower on a perfect day," he started saying, grabbing her shoulders and turning her body before continuing, not aware of the queen's watchful eye.
"One could see clearly across the Sunset Sea," he said, waving his straight hand through the sky as if he were imagining it.
"It must be quite something," Rhaenyra said, drinking some more wine.
"I don't have a dragon pit, of course, but I do have the means and resources to build one," he said, looking her over his words, which made her turn around, looking confused.
"Why would you need to build a dragon pit?" she questioned, deeply confused.
"To house dragons, of course," he replied, like it was obvious as he rocked on his feet.
"I'd do anything for my queen or my lady wife; I would make sure she was well pleased in all aspects," he said, smirking.
"Lady wife? What on earth are you speaking about?" She spat, thinking her father had made her betrothal without telling her.
"Well, I am the lord of House Lannister, one of the richest houses you could do no better than me."
"I will make sure I inform my husband of that. Lord Lannister, do you answer what makes you believe you are better than a Targaryen or any other man who may offer their hand to my daughter?" Anna cut the lion lord off as she stepped next to Rhaenyra, who relaxed and smiled at her, calling her her daughter.
"Your Grace," the man greeted shocked as she smiled, starting him down with sharp eyes that could make the strongest men fall.
"I meant no insult to you or your family," he stated.
"Yet I am insulted, and yet my daughter is insulted," she shrugged before stepping closer to him.
"Your words prove you to be unfit for Princess Rhaenyra's hand. A real man would have gone to the king and me about such matters. A real man, an honorable man, wouldn't have suggested the things you have with your suggestive words."
"I am sorry for your grace."
"Mmm, I am sure you are. Come along, Rhaenyra, there is a gentleman I wish to introduce you to."
Rhaenyra grabbed Anna's awaiting hand, letting her guide her away from the flustered Lord. When they were far enough apart, the princess couldn't help the giggles that flowed out, making the queen smile.
"Your father is drowning in marriage proposals but has stayed firm in wishing for it to be truly your decision, but now that you are of age, Rhaenyra, it is expected of you to take a husband and have children as heirs." Anna informed her gently as the girl nodded.
"But what if I choose wrong? What if I am deceived by a man, all for the crown and throne I will inherit?"
"Then all you must do is tell me, and I will rid you of that problem. Oh, lemon cake, yay."
"It frightens me how quickly you go to murder when the slightest problem arises," Rhaenyra mumbled, watching as the dark-haired queen nibbled on a lemon cake.
"It's an easy solution that assures the problem won't arise again," Anna muttered, shrugging, making Rhaenyra smile, which got bigger when she noticed Alicent coming over with the twins, which Anna noticed.
"Ahhh, my babies," Anna squealed, kneeling down and hugging both of her sons, kissing all over their faces, making them squeal and giggle, catching the attention of everyone nearby who smiled at the sight.
"Oh I cant believe your both already two I cant handle it stop growing up be my small precious baby boys forever please" she pleaded loving the sounds of her giggles as she admired both her sons both of them looked similar to her in features with their noses and eyes just the hair was different where Aegons hair matched Viserys and Aelors matched hers.
"Alright, you two, help me up; I'm stuck," she whined, making the two girls laugh, but before they could help her, a strong, handsome man did.
"My queen," the man greeted her gently, helping her up and making her sigh in relief as the pressure on her knees and stomach stopped.
"Thank you, Ser Harwin. How are you, my friend?"
"Good, Your Grace," he answered with a smile, making her roll her eyes at the title.
"Please, Anna is just fine. Harwin, meet Princess Rhaenyra, Lady Alicent, and my two sons, Aegon and Aelor." She introduced her old friend to them, making him bow his head.
"Hello," he said, his eyes staying on Rhaenyra, who blushed slightly, nodding her head. "Hello," she greeted.
