"What if he doesn't choose Anna but chooses someone that will hate me?" Rhaenyra asked Alicent quietly making her laugh

"Yes cause that is likely," Alicent said rolling her eyes squeezing her hand

"Good morrow my lords," Viserys said with a smile as he approached the council table locking eyes with Anna who smiled at him before looking down not wishing to be there to see the man she had grown to love announce who his next wife was to be

"I have decided to take a new wife it is time I strengthen my bloodline and give the realm a new queen I intend to marry" Viserys started and everyone was trying to figure it out, Otto was stiff in anger knowing it wouldn't be his youngest after his eldest stepped in and Corly's face was smug thinking his daughter would be announced making her queen of the seven kingdoms

"The Lady Anna Hightower before springs end" he declared and Anna's head snapped up shocked but happy as she truly has fallen for the king in the last six months

" This is absurdity My house is Valyrian the greatest power in the realm" Lords Corlys shouted standing up pissed off

" and I am your king" the king replied to him making the lord leave the room quickly in anger

"Rhaenyra" Viserys said nervously making Anna's head snap towards her scared of the girl's reaction but she was relieved to see her smiling

"Congratulations father, Anna I'm happy for you both I know you will do well as Queen and as my father's wife," she said hugging both of them surprised the council filled with lords many thought the princess would feel angry or betrayed

"thank you my little dragon," Anna said kissing the young girl's forehead everyone quickly left after that besides Viserys and Anna

"You chose me as your wife," she said quietly as if she was confused "Why I offer no political gain I am the eldest daughter of a secondborn son which might I remind you is a traitor for what he plans," she said again

"I chose you because I have fallen in love with you I love that you know and adore and care for my daughter I love how kind and gentle but stern you are Anna you betrayed your father to protect Rhaenyra I trust you, as well as desire you, I want to wake up and go to sleep with you by my side I want to expand my family with you that is why I chose you" he told her as if he was a poet cupping her cheek

"I have fallen in love with you Viserys and I wish to give you more children I love Rhaenyra as my own child and I will happily have your children I want many a large family filled with love and happiness" she said to him smiling brighter than the sun

he couldn't control himself he stepped closer to her and kissed her hard making her gasp before slowly kissing back making him laugh slightly happy with this outcome

"But what is to be done about my father?" Anna asked pulling away and making him sigh "Otto is a cunning man you know that and I know he has conspired with his brother after the letters you showed me, but I must know you else conspires against Rhaenyra if I die I can assure she will be safe"

"You wish to know all the traitors?" she clarified "Yes"

" And when you learn who agrees with my father?" she asked

" Then their heads will be mounted on the wall and those who bend the knee and beg for forgiveness will suffer a lesser punishment" he declared making her nod

"very well love," she said kissing his cheek

"I am going to go talk with Rhaenyra and Alicent," she told him making him nod in understanding watching with a smile as she left

"My Lady" Ser Criston said as he stood at her door guarding "Hello Ser Criston I am guessing Rhaenyra and my sister are in there," she asked nodding to her door

"Yes my lady," he told her opening the door she laughed softly at the sight as the door shut

"Anna" both girls shouted trying to untangle themself from the mess of sheets and blankets

"What in the seven hells are you to doing?" she asked

"building a fort," Alicent said making her laugh they may be ten and five but they are still children at heart

"Well can you take a break from building this fort so we can talk" Anna asked smiling at the two

"sure," they told her

"Wonderful come," she said sitting down in the middle of her bed making both girls rush to her side sitting in front of her Alicent on her left Rhaenyra on her right

"Now I want to have a serious conversation with you both" She stated making them share a look

"I want to make a few things clear Alicent I hope you have realized what type of man our father is how horrible and vile he truly is" she started

"I have I hate him for what he tried to make me do," the young Hightower told her sister

"Good now our father he threatened to hurt Rhaenyra if it meant his blood would sit on the throne I and the king have a plan to get rid of him truly but it will take time and patience he must not suspect anything, and I want you to know Rhaenyra that I truly love your father and even if I give birth to a son when the time comes he will bend the knee to his sister his future queen you will remain your father's heir and I want you both to know that I will always protect you and that you will never be forced to do something you do not wish" making both girls nod and cuddle into her

"thank you Anna" they both whispered

" Will father die?" Alicent asked making her sister sigh "Yes when the time comes he will lose his head most likely"

"Now why don't we finish this horrific fort," she said making both girls get up and start messing with the blanket and sheets trying to figure out the best way to set it up the three spent hours talking laughing gossiping and such before a knock was heard before a maid entered the room

" Lady Anna your father has requested your presence" making the room tense

"Very well I shall not keep him waiting can you be a dear and get some sweets for these two" she asked standing up and smoothing out her dress

"of course my lady," the maid said before looking at the two young girls "Any wishes" she asked

"lemon cakes please, strawberry tarts please" Both girls asked for their favorites making the maid nod and leave to go get them
