Eytukan grabbed my wrist and pulled me along behind him, he was talking in a language I couldn't understand. Eytukan was nice yesterday, now he began to get pushy and impatient. I guess he got tried to signaling me to do things since it took me a bit to understand him. "Hey, slow down! I can't keep up!" He apparently didn't seem to understand me either, since he didn't slow down at all. I had no choice, but try to keep up with him. When we got to our destination he was pointing at a horse looking creature, with blue skin and grey stripes with legs. I didn't understand, until someone ran towards us.
A female Na'vi pushed him aside running up to me. "Out my way Eytukan, I want to see the tawtute." She grabbed my face running her hands across my face and walked around me, looking me up and down. "Strange, no queue." She ran her fingers through my curly hair. "Yes, humans don't have them."
The female Na'vi stared me. "Then how will learn to ride a Direhorse?" I shrugged unsure. "I don't know, all I know is that I was dragged here and I'm being talked to and I don't understand a word he says." The female Na'vi sighed. "I'm sorry about Eytukan he doesn't know English, I'm Mo'at, I'll help."
The female Na'vi walked towards Eytukan and began yelling at him. "Eytukan, Poe tsun ke kame nga, poe luke kuru!" (Eytukan, she can not understand you, she without queue!") Eytukan began to talk back to you. "Nga, kar tsakrr! (You teach then!") I noticed then female eye twitched in anger. "What did he say?" Mo'at sighed, she turned to me and began to walk. "Stay here, I'm going to get some herbs.
Mo'at came back with some herbs. "I'll teach you how to make medicine." Eytukan seemed annoyed with Mo'at meddling, but settled down after being glared at. She returned to me, handing me the herbs. Mo'at began to talk about each one and its properties, along with how to use it. Eytukan soon left, to which I didn't think too much about.
As Mo'at was casually teaching me, I noticed Eytukan was getting closer. "When did he return?" I was confused and wondered how long he Eytukan been there. "So this one- can I help you Eytukan?" Mo'at narrowed her eyes at Eytukan who she just noticed that was now right beside me. Eytukan didn't say anything, but just stared at her. He placed down a basket of fruit in front of us. "Yom. (Eat.)" He grabbed one and began to eat. "Apparently Eytukan says we need to stop and eat." Mo'at chuckled taking some fruit, she handed me one as well.
Another Na'vi came over and waved Eytukan over. After talking to them Eytukan waved Mo'at over and told her something I couldn't hear. When Mo'at walked back Eytukan was leaving. "Where's Eytukan going?" Mo'at eyes found mine. "No worry, he's going on a hunt." I nodded and we continued eating.
After eating Mo'at began to teach me how to make medicine. "More pressure, it's needs to be a paste." I tried to add more pressure as I grounded up the herbs. "Righ-ouch!" Mo'at sighed grabbing my hand. "Let me see." I had cut my hand on the wooden grinder, and blood began leaking from my cut. "You are clumsy." Mo'at brought my finger to her mouth, gently sucking on it.
My face went red by her actions. "Wha-what are you doing?!" Mo'at removed her mouth from my finger and grabbed the medicine I was making. "I needed to stop the bleeding." Most began to effortlessly grind the herbs into paste and smeared some on my finger.
"I think that's enough medicine for today, now let's teach you to speak like a Na'vi." My eyes sparkling in excitement, I wanted to learn the language from a young age, though apparently my sempu thought it be easier to learn English first. Sempu was about to teach me Na'vi before their sudden disappearance. I grinned happily hearing. "Yes, I can't wait!" Mo'at chuckled at my enthusiasm. "Let's get started then."
~A few weeks later~
Mo'at had been teaching me herbs and their properties as well as making them into medicine. Mainly for the moment she's been teaching me how to speak in the Na'vi language, I've been pick in it up rather quickly. I found out my sempu wanted to teach me English first apparently Na'vi is easier to learn than English. "Fyape syaw fko ngar? (What are you called?)" I thought for a second trying to process her words. "Sofronia te Tsamsiyu Heykinak'ite." Mo'at smiled. "Nìtxan sìltsan, nga lu alaksi. (Very good, you are ready.)"
Mo'at put her hands on my shoulders. "You now know our language you can speak with Eytukan with no trouble and learn." I felt a mixture of happiness and concern. I never got to speak with Eytukan before and it was kind of excited, yet terrifying. "Tomorrow your lesson with him will officially begin."
