Sorry this chapter was late, I was busy and it slipped my mind. Anyways here's the next chapter.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~It was a peaceful day, I didn't have anyone asking me for advice, it was a rare day that I had off. Eytukan had taken Telisi, while Mo'at had Sylwanin. Alar'at and my sa'nok were spending time with Atan. I was taking a nap in the kelku with Neytiri, when her little voice made me stir. "Sa'nu?" I opened my eyes and Neytiri had just awoken from her nap. "Hey sweetie, everything alright?" She rested her head on my shoulder and played with my hands. "Why do you have five fingers?" I smirked at her question. "So I can tickle you better!" Neytiri squealed as I began to tickle her. "Sa'nu! Please, I can't breathe!" We hugged each other as we laughed.
Neytiri stared up at me curiously. "Sa'nu, I wanna play in the river." I gotten out of the hammock and Neytiri cheered. "Okay." Running towards me wanting me to carry her. It was easier to carry Neytiri since she was the size of a human child, but I knew she would quickly grow into her Na'vi growth spurt. So, I had gotten into the habit of holding her, in which she didn't fuss at the idea either. Thought I didn't force her to be carried if she didn't want to.
We were walking to the river when we were greeted by Tsu'tey. It seems that he was running around playing, like or Na'vi children his own age. "Advisor Sof!" I smiled at his formality. "Tsu'tey, I'm not working, you can call me by my name." Tsu'tey nodded. "Yes, Sof."
We continued to walk and Tsu'tey followed close behind. "Where are you going?" I smiled at the young boy's curiosity. "Just to the river to play." Tsu'tey eyes sparkling with excitement. "Can I come?" I nodded. "Sur-!" I was interrupted by Neytiri. "No." I glanced at Neytiri, who was glaring at Tsu'tey. "Of course he can, Neytiri it's okay." Tsu'tey cheered, and Neytiri whined in defeat. "Okay Sa'nu, oh remember Tsu'tey. She's my sa'nu." Tsu'tey nodded a little bit intimated by little Neytiri as she clung to me.
The two were playing in the river having fun, while I sat on the edge of the bank. Allowing the water to go up to my ankles. Everything was okay, until I noticed her and Tsu'tey were arguing about something and it was something that made Neytiri mad. I thought they were just taunting each other. Then Tsu'tey splash Neytiri a little too hard and she fell back. "Tsu'tey be easy, Neytiri is smaller than you." He turned nodding, but not long after I said that Neytiri jumped out of the water and onto his back. "Hey! Neytiri careful, he's a lot more fragile!" They fell onto the shore line and Neytiri started smacking him. "Stop, Neytiri, Neytiri!"
I ran over when Neytiri wouldn't let him go. "Neytiri let go, let go!" I had to pull her off of him. "Neytiri, what's wrong with you, didn't you hear me?!" Immediately she started to tear up and began to cry. When the shock wore off Tsu'tey started to cry and cling to me. "Oh no... how did this go wrong so fast?"
I walked into the village with the children, to see Mo'at. "Oh Sof, oh what happened to Tsu'tey?" She walked over to him seeing the scratches Neytiri gave him. "Neytiri and Tsu'tey got into a little fight." Mo'at sighed in response. "I see, this isn't like our little Neytiri, what made her do this?" I turned around to exit the hut. "I don't know, but I will find out."
I walked out of the hut to see Neytiri sitting behind a tree. Her tail coiled between her legs, her ear back and sniffling. It wasn't long before I realized something was wrong. "Neytiri are you okay?" Neytiri stared at me teary eyed. "Neytiri, you know what you did was wrong, right?" She didn't answer me and just stared at me. It broke my heart but I need to be stern and get answers from her. "Neytiri, I need you to answer me." I was shocked when she turned her away from me. "Neytiri..."
I heard footsteps and saw it was Eytukan. "Sof, I heard from Mo'at about Tsu'tey, where's?" Neytiri ran from where she was sitting and ran to Eytukan. "Sempu!" Neytiri began to wail loudly. "Sof, I'll calm her down before you talk to her."
Later after Eytukan got her to calm down, we went home. Mo'at was prepping some food for dinner while Sylwanin was still out playing with Tsu'tey. Neytiri was sleeping in her hammock. I was sitting on the floor while Telisi was making a necklace. "Did she say anything Eytukan?" Eytukan stared at me with sad eyes. "No, I don't know what sparked that fight to make her lash out at Tsu'tey like that." I stared across the room staring at her from a distance. "I'm just worried about her."
Telisi spoke up. "Tsu'tey has been teasing her." We all stopped what we're doing allowing Telisi's words to sink in. "What?" Eytukan walked over and sat beside her, while Mo'at came over to join us. "Yeah, he's been teasing her calling her a two eye colored freak and about how small she is." Mo'at eyes were now full of concern. "Anything else?" Telisi continues to work on her necklace. "He likes teasing Neytiri about mommy, saying she's a demon's child and he likes calling you a demon when you, sempul or sa'nok isn't around, apparently he hears his parents say that about mommy."
Mo'at grew angry at this, giving a slight scowl. "From Artsut no doubt." Eytukan stood up placing his hand on Mo'at's shoulder. "Relax, I'll take care of this." Eytukan walks out of our kelku while I tried to calm down Mo'at who began to cook. "Easy, I know this is painful to hear, but our dinner will suffer if you keep cooking angry."
Neytiri sat up staring at us. "Sa'nu, Sa'nok?" She had just woken up. Mo'at tilted her heads towards Neytiri. "Come here, my little one." I walked towards Neytiri and picked her up. "Let's go outside hmm?" Neytiri nodded slowly.
We sat underneath a shady tree, while Neytiri played with her hair. "Why didn't you tell me?" She looked up at me confused, not knowing that I already knew. "Huh?" I stared down at her softly. "About Tsu'tey, why didn't you tell me he was teasing you?" Neytiri looked away a bit sad. "I don't want you to know, I didn't want them to hurt you or take you from us." I smiled at Neytiri, then giving her a hug. "Don't worry, I'm tough and I'm not going anywhere, I promise."
