After a long walk to catch up with the rest of the crew, I talked on about everything Law wanted to know. From the times I spent with the Marines and to the tales I told about Corazon.

I revealed every single aspect of my experiences, leaving no detail untold, no matter how small.

With the stories and everything it felt like our trip was long lasting.. I frequently got the impression that we would never catch up to the crew, so I suggested taking a short cut through the forest instead.

We were already lost, so there was no harm in deviating from the path into the forest. Despite Law's initial hesitance, I reassured him that I could use my Devil Fruit powers to spot Luffy from above the treetops.

With each block we pass I utilized my Devil Fruit ability to rapidly age and climb upon various pieces of trees, using them as temporary support to use the sky to my advantage.

As the trees grow in size under the influence of my Devil Fruit, I'm able to identify nearby locations that look inhabited or accompanied.

"This way!" I call out, pointing northeast as I skillfully slide down the aged tree.

"Are you certain you know what you're doing?" Law asks doubtfully, proceeding ahead of me while we venture deeper into the forest we had chosen to explore.

"In a way yes, but truthfully, I'm not entirely sure!" I chuckle as I skip through the forest, quickly pacing ahead of him with a carefree demeanor.

"I'm already starting to have doubts about this..." Law mutters, shaking his head disapprovingly as he reluctantly follows me deeper into the forest.

"Don't worry, I've done this before! It used to be a common occurrence for me to use this method to find Luffy when we were younger." I grin, glancing back at him before continuing to skip through the trees with confidence.

Within five minutes the realization came crashing down on me.. my method may have worked when it wasn't foggy, but the thick fog completely foiled my plan!

But there was no way I was going to admit my mistake, especially to Law! I couldn't handle being seen as an idiot after he had put his trust in me.. I'd rather keep the secret to myself than risk being lumped in the same category as Luffy.

I continued to lead him astray, pretending to know the way forward despite being completely lost. But soon enough the weight of the lie became too much to bear.. Deep down I knew I wasn't good at keeping secrets for long.

"Law, there's something I need to tell you..." I blurt out, aware that what I'm about to say might not cast me in the best light. "I realize this might make me seem like a jerk, but..."

"I'm aware." Law cuts me off firmly before I can finish speaking, leaving me puzzled.

"Wait, what?" I respond, my confusion evident as I try to make out if he's confirming that I'm a jerk or if he's already seen right through my act.

Just because there's a slight possibility that I misguided you, it doesn't automatically give you the right to label me as a jerk!

"You think I didn't notice? I saw how the confidence in your step faltered with each step you took." Law responds softly taking the opportunity to pause for rest, reaching into his backpack to retrieve a bottle of water.

"Hey, want one?" Law offers casually, his gaze drifting up to me as he extends a bottled water.

I grab the water bottle from his hand, feeling a pang of annoyance as I realize he's been aware of my situation the entire time. Why did he wait until now to say something? This realization only fuels my frustration.
