The bile kept rising, the voices brought the back the haunting memories, the unsettling feeling growing in his stomach, his eyes brimmed with tears.
What are they doing here, how would they even know where he was, no one had his personal number except for pankhuri and his coach back home.
"How did he reach here ?"
"Idiot, you are fairly popular and had the news allover of your arrival to England,it was natural for airport staff to contact the team here" his brain provided .
Nothing, nothing was helping him, he tried to hold on to anything and everything
"God please " he thought to himself.
He can't afford a breakdown infront of these to atleast. He frantically kept looking for something, the commotion did startle whoever was in the room along with those two.
He didn't care if looked absolutely pathetic right now in front of them, he never cared if they would mock him again,he had faced that earlier, no amount of taunting are going to affect him. He was determined to stay indifferent to those two or anyone in the team and their thoughts about him.
"No, please stay calm, you are going to injure yourself " said someone, he has a sethescope around his neck, must be a doctor he thought to himself
"Where is it" he pleaded
"What" the guy with sethescope asked.
"My neck chain" he replied almost as he spiralled down his attack.
Maybe the doctor caught the panic in his voice and the desperation, "besides on your bed table " he replied.
He clung to the chain immediately wearing it back and keeping the locket near his ears, the sound coming from it almost pulling him back from the deep pit he was spiralling into.
He clung to the Heartbeats from the locket, trying to calm himself.
This always worked, now matter how deep into the dark he was, this Heartbeats reminds him of pull himself back together and continue for another day atleast, myra would always bring him back and show the way.
He could trust her to be his anchor,no matter how little time he spent with that bundle of joy.The doctor sensing the ongoing panic attack subsiding rushed to ishan, trying to offer help.
He first checked his temperature and than chided him for coming to England in a jeans and Cotton shirt in the month of January
"He tends to do that,he is the kind to do to anything thing for attention" came a voice laced with poison in the tone
"Shubman please" shreyas and Siddharth(the doctor) yelled together.
Listen shubman, Siddharth continued,I have no idea what you are onto or what your equation with him is but right now he's my patient and from looks of it his fainting was as real as his panic attack you guys witnessed few minutes back and he has a match due in 3 days as a WK, a daunting task as you may know.
The manager(kedar) is onto me to get him back to field so he can get to practice starting tomorrow and your senseless acquisitions aren't helping so please get TF out of here if you aren't being of any help.
Siddharth was done, he had a eventful day, first he was awakened at wee hours in the morning to get to airport to bring some new player who apparently fainted.
He was ranting as he reached airport, cos he was a freaking doctor for supposed richest sporting board in world and they couldn't afford a driver to fetch a player. But as he reached and saw the player ,he knew why he himself was asked to fetch the player, by the looks of it, it looked like a severe case of fatigue and a panic attack maybe he was guessing
