CHAPTER 11

Hardik noticed the wound on ishan's hand.

He was concerned as the bandage was bright red indiacting the wound had bled again.

He was angry at shubman for what he did.
Whatever they had he had no right to injure him like that.

Hardik doesn't know what to do, as ishan was awaking he felt panic, he couldn't face him,not now atleast.
He needed time to build up the courage to meet him.

After what he had done, what the family had done he simply couldn't have the courage to meet ishan , atleast not now,not when ishan lay there broken.
He couldn't get a word out of his mouth.
As emotions surged he rushed out of room.

Ishan had quite a task opening his eyes.
He doesn't remember how he reached here.all he remembers was dozing off on floor as shubman rushed out leaving him like that.

A sad smile made it to his face as he remembered the accusations shubman threw

This was the guy he once had, only him when world against was him.shubman was there.

The friendship and love happened so seamlessly in past so where things went wrong he couldn't quite decipher.

Blissful, basking in love ishan was happy and thanked God, shubman was his and he was confident he would prove the world wrong,prove his innocence.

But than things started to change,each passing day things were seemingly bleak, nothing he did could make people beleive and if that wasn't enough, shubman's demeanor kept changing,it was slow but ishan didn't miss, they grew distant,ishan couldn't understand why tough and than the final nail was that fateful day.

Ishan swore all those allegations put together didn't hold a candle to what shubman did that day.

That was the day ishan gave up, he had lost everything, now proving people his worth didn't seem as lucrative as earlier when he had shubman.

Ishan would have gone too if not for pankhuri and Myra.

"Not again" his brain provided.

Myra was his happy place,he would never associate her with his sad memories.

Ishan groaned as he got up.

He had difficult time standing on his feet, he somehow balanced himself and looked around.

He was sure he herd that voice, it was hardik's, he was sure he was there, was he? Or was it his mind playing games.

He choose to ignore.

He needed water ,just as he was about to go out of the room, sid barged into his room un announced with a water bottle.

"You knock" ishan said in a mocking tone

"I would,if I wasn't the one who sedated you and knew what you would need once up are you" sid said in a single breath.

"Oh" ishan mouthed.

So it was sid who sedated him, he didn't complain tough,it did feel better after the much needed sleep after that awfully tiring day.

Ishan checked time,it was 3:30 in the morning, he checked his phone and saw the message in the group,kedar practically yelling through message for the team to meet up at 5:00 am at the ground for an important meeting.
Another drama,he sighed.

Sid approached him asking for his hand to change his dressing while chiding him for making the wound bleed.

Ishan let out a sheepish smile at that, it didn't hurt, what hurt was shubman yet again blaming him of seducing another man.

For God sake he hasn't know this man for more than 20 hrs, ishan's anger flared at that.

Sid was good, being helpful but that's it about it, what did he even do for Shubman to accuse him like that, again.
His eyes dropped at that.

Traitorous heart,still seeking his validation,ishan thought to himself.

He thanked sid,but when he saw him not leaving even after dressing up him,ishan side eyed him

"Dressing is done,you can leave" ishan said nonchalantly.

"Ouch, I'm here taking care of you sacrificing my sleep and you are asking me to get out" sid fake cried.

"Silly"ishan said while opening the door and gesturing him to leave.

Sid gave him a smile and listed the medicines he had to take before taking his leave promising to meet him in the evening once he returns,not before reminding him to go easy on himself.

"Ok" ishan acted as if yelling.

It felt good to have someone taking care of you.

Ishan went to get ready,after all the impending team meeting was about to start in an hour.

Sid's POV

Don't know what has gotten into him.

Sid was not happy when a senior player barged in and asked him to leave.

He couldn't leave ishan like that, he was worried for him.

Sleep was far away,he was worried for ishan, he knows such concern for a person he hardly knew hours back wasn't normal but he felt good and this guy was someone who would always follow his heart.

Since sleep was anyways not coming,sid decided to Google ishan.

And he was amused seeing isha. being goofy and laughing,what a beautiful laugh.

He kept watching and learning about him through whatever internet provided.

He noticed how things seemed to change after 2024, it's 2030 now.
His curiousity got better of him as he searched further.

Nothing much was there tough.

Most articles taken down,or not enough information to get a complete picture.

But what he noticed was, the ishan before 2024 had this sparkle to him which gradually kept dimming

The dead eyes he saw today after shubman left him injured were not something to miss.

What exactly happened that this guy broke so much? Sid was curious.
He was determined to know everything about ishan.

Sid had that instant protective feeling for ishan engulfing him, he hardly knew him for a day and yet he was ready to fight anyone and everyone for him.

He felt strange and giddy as these new feelings kept engulfing him.
Whatever, ishan was special ,he finally accepted to himself.

As he walked out of ishan's room promising to meet him in evening humming a happy random tune to himself to contain the butterflies in his stomach and that stupid grin on his face he failed to notice the pair of eyes that followed him.

If eyes could kill,sid would have been gone by now.
