Walking back into the Great Hall, Aerea sat down at her usual seat at the Slytherin table.
The Durmstrang students were still gathered around it, apparently unsure about where they should sit. The students from Beauxbatons had chosen seats at the Ravenclaw table. They were looking around the Great Hall with glum expressions on their faces.
The boy Aerea saw earlier made eye contact with her again. He gave her a small wave, Aerea smiled back.
Daphne smirked. "Seems like someone's got an eye on you."
Aerea rolled her eyes. "I don't even know the guy. I'm just being nice."
"Okay..."
Without realising, the Durmstrang students came and sat at the Slytherin table. Aerea only realised because Draco was talking with Viktor Krum.
"My name is Draco Malfoy." Draco extended his hand for Krum to shake.
"If he's bothering you in any way, just give him a slap in the face. I'm sure he won't mind." Aerea said, smiling.
"Vot?" Krum said, confused as to why she would say that.
"Aerea Malfoy, his twin sister." Aerea said, shaking his hand.
A look of understanding crossed his face as he shook her hand.
At the teachers' table, Filch was adding more chairs than there we people. Aerea furrowed her eyebrows but didn't comment on it.
When all the students had entered the Hall and settled down at their House tables, the staff entered, filing up to the top table and taking their seats. Last in line were Professor Dumbledore, Professor Karkaroff, and Madame Maxime. When their headmistress appeared, the pupils from Beauxbatons leapt to their feet. A few of the Hogwarts students laughed. The Beauxbatons party appeared quite unembarrassed, however, and did not resume their seats until Madame Maxime had sat down on Dumbledore's left-hand side. Dumbledore remained standing, and a silence fell over the Great Hall.
"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, ghosts and - most particularly - guests," Dumbledore said, beaming around at the foreign students. "I have great pleasure in welcoming you all to Hogwarts. I hope and trust that your stay here will be both comfortable and enjoyable.
"The Tournament will be officially opened at the end of the feast. I now invite you all to eat, drink, and make yourselves at home!"
The plates in front of them filled with food as usual, except there was a greater variety of dishes that Aerea had never seen.
"Wow," Daphne said.
"Wow indeed," Aerea said, helping herself with some chicken and potatoes.
When the second course had arrived, there were other numerous desserts Aerea had never seen in her life. About halfway done, the boy whom Aerea kept having eye contact with was suddenly standing behind her.
"I'm sorry to disturb you, but I wanted to formally introduce myself, Louis de Valois." He gave a little bow.
"Your English is really good." Aerea blurted.
"Uh, thank you, my mother is from England but moved the France after her studies." He said.
"Wow." Aerea just stared at him. How hadn't she realised how cute he was?
From across the room, Harry Potter was watching the interaction with jealousy in his eyes. Wait, why would he be jealous? This is Aerea Malfoy we're talking about, the girl who punched him in the face a few weeks ago.
