But if the story is over, why am I still writing pages?   |   death by a thousand cuts, Taylor Swift

It was the day of the third task, and Aerea was glad it was almost over.

This also meant that it was almost time for the summer holidays. Aerea was ready for a break.

Aerea was sitting at breakfast with Daphne, who was reading the Daily Prophet.

"It had to be today?" Daphne whispered to herself.

"What?" Aerea asked.

Before Daphne could answer, Draco shouted across the Great Hall to Harry.

"Hey, Potter! Potter! How's the head? You feeling all right? Sure, you're not going to go beserk on us?"

"What now?" Aerea asked, not bothering to get mad as she was too nervous for the third task.

"Apparently, Potter fainted or something during Divination on Monday, Skeeter somehow saw the ordeal happen," Daphne answered her.

Aerea furrowed her eyebrows. "How? She's not allowed in the lessons."

"Fuck knows," Daphne shrugged her shoulders gathering her stuff. "I have to go, History of Magic in ten minutes," she glanced at the nervous face of Aerea, although she masked it well. "You'll do great," she gave her a comforting smile.

Aerea smiled back. "Thanks. Good luck with History of Magic."

After Daphne left, Aerea was left alone with her thoughts. At least that was what she thought.

"Miss Malfoy, the champions are congregating in the chamber off the Hall after breakfast," the voice of Snape told her.

"But the task doesn't start until later?" Aerea said.

"We're aware. The champions' families are invited to watch the final task, you know. This is simply a chance for you to greet them."

Aerea's eyes widened in excitement. She hadn't seen her mother in almost a year now.

"Thank you for telling me," she said and quickly got up her feet.

She walked beside Fleur.

"Are you excited?" Fleur asked Aerea with her heavy accent.

"Very, I haven't seen them in almost a year." There was a smile beaming on her face.

Aerea walked into the chamber and saw her mother. She quickly walked up to her and gave her a hug.

"Oh, Aerea," Narcissa hugged her back. She had missed her daughter. "How are you holding up?"

Instead of answering, Aerea furrowed her brows. "Where's father?"

Narcissa seemed to stiffen. "He couldn't get away from the ministery. You know how it gets," she gave her a small smile.

Aerea nodded. "And to answer your question, I'm doing okay now that you're here," she smiled.

Aerea looked beside her and saw Mrs. Weasley and her oldest child greeting Harry.

She saw Fleur from a bit further looking at the oldest Weasley child.

Aerea shook her head with a small smile. Of course.

"What are you looking at?" Narcissa asked her daughter.

"Just Fleur Delacour," she answered. "Come on, you have to meet her."

Without another word, Aerea walked to where Fleur was talking with her family.
