And you wanna scream "don't call me kid, don't call me baby. Look at this godforsaken mess that you've made me"   |   illicit affairs, Taylor Swift

Aerea and Harry smashed to the ground, and their ears were filled with cheers that turned into screams from the students.

Aerea's eyes filled with tears but didn't let them fall.

Everything was going to change.

"Harry! Aerea!"

The two of them looked up to see Dumbledore crouched over them. The dark shadows of a crowd of people pressed in around them, pushing nearer.

All Aerea wanted to do was scream.

Aerea let go of the cup and held Cedric's dead hand. It started growing cold.

Harry seized Dumbledore's wrist. "He's back," he whispered. "He's back. Voldemort."

Aerea's face was emotionless, but the tear stains were there.

"What's going on? What's happened?"

The face of Cornelius Fudge appeared. It looked white, appalled.

"He's dead!"

Aerea heard the statement over and over again.

She looked around until her eyes met those of her mother.

"Aerea, you need to let go," she said gently, but her voice was shaking.

Slowly but surely, Aerea let go of her dead friend's hand.

She saw her mother sharing hushed words with Dumbledore. He nodded, and Narcissa turned back to her daughter.

"Come along, let's get you out of here," Narcissa grabbed a hold of her daughters shoulders and helped her to her feet.

Aerea kept her eyes to the ground as her mother guided her away from the crowd.

Reaching the castle, Aerea expected her mother to bring her to the Slytherin Common Room, but they went in the opposite direction.

"Where are we going?" Aerea's voice was quiet.

"Dumbledore's office."

Aerea furrowed her brows but didn't say anything.

Reaching the Eagle statue, Narcissa muttered the password, and it opened.

The two made their way up the stairs and into the office.

"What are we doing here, mum?" Aerea didn't bother with the formalities she was taught.

"It-" Narcissa stumbled over her words. "It's time you know the truth."

"What? That you and father serve for Voldemort?" Aerea said bitterly, her voice a bit hoarse. "I know, Father was there when I saw him being resurrected."

"I – Aerea –"

"You lied to us. You told us you were under the Imperius Curse when he was at large, and yet Father was there willingly," Aerea glared at her mother.

"Aerea, I need you to listen. Yes, your Father is a Death Eater, but there are more important things at hand –"

Behind them, the door opened, and Dumbledore stepped inside.

"Have you told her yet?" He asked Narcissa.

She shook her head.

Dumbledore nodded.
