Vani's pov -

"Ugh, this is the worst day of my life!"

Talia has been complaining about her headache for the past two hours. I've tried giving her everything that deals with a hangover and telling her to sleep, but she isn't able to sleep because of the embarrassing stuff from yesterday that she remembers every five minutes.

"Why didn't you stop me?" she asked, while I tried remembering which exact moment from yesterday she was talking about.

"Are you talking about when you twerked at the security guard or when you flipped off your finger at the little boy next door? Let me tell you, he did the same to you. Cute child." I asked confused while I was searching for my tote bag.

"No, when I flirted with that cute stranger while he was flirting with you. Oh, this is so embarrassing" She cried out.

"Stop it, Talia, we're never gonna see him again." I groaned while putting my keys and lip balm in my tote bag which I had finally found behind the coffee table.

"Yeah, I guess you're right." She said.

"Okay, so, I'm gonna head out to meet Josh and Sam. Say hi to your sister for me." I informed her

"Will do. Enjoy your time with them. And don't embarrass me in front of them this time." She scolded me.

"Yeah yeah, I won't," I replied trying to control my laugh remembering how I had slipped out Talia's bra size in front of the boys. It wasn't my fault. She had called me to buy a bra for her, while I was on a loud and busy street with the guys, and couldn't hear her tell me her bra size. So as soon as I heard her bra size and tried to confirm it while shouting it to her (making sure to stand away from Sam and Josh) thinking that no one's gonna listen, the crowd suddenly went quiet that exact moment, and everyone around me heard her bra size including Joshua and Samuel.

"Bye, take care." She spoke.

"You too. Have fun with Mia." I told her while walking out through the main door and then closing it behind me.

After fifteen minutes of walking, I reached Elaine's bakery and went inside and found both the boys already in their seats with Elaine not in sight. I found James sitting in his usual seat. He looked up and waved a hi, so before meeting the boys, I went to have a small chat with James.

"Hey, I was planning on calling you. One of my friends works with this guy from 'Aubree', the design company, Mr. Nancy – "

"Mr. Nancy? How did you say that with a straight face?" I asked laughing hysterically.

"Yeah, I know. It's funny." He replied laughing hard too. "Anyways, Mr. Nancy saw your design portfolio and loved it. He said he doesn't want to interview you at all because he was very impressed, but would like to meet you first before joining his team." He said.

"Oh my gosh, James! Thank you so much, that's the best thing I've heard this week." I said while hugging him happily.

"There's no need to thank me. It's your hard work. Nancy was telling me how your hard work is seen in your designs." He said smiling.

"Thanks," I replied shyly.

James has been a sort of mentor to me. He has always supported Aria and me, since our interests are in his field, fashion. He always gets a call from me whenever I have issues with going ahead with any of my designs.

"His company works for other companies to design the clothes of certain famous people. So, after your two-month training period, you'll be sent to the other sub-company for whom you've to design clothes. He'll give you the rest of the details. He said he's ready to meet you next month on the 5th at 10 am." He informed me.
