It had been three days since Vani was offered the deal of fake dating Ved. She entered the CEO's office to let him know about her answer.

"May I come in sir?" she asked standing at the door of his office where Ved was already present

"Yes, dear. Please come in." he said and motioned her to take a seat next to Ved.

"Sir, I'm here to give you my answer to your deal." She informed after taking a seat without acknowledging Ved's presence.

"And what is your final answer?"

"I'd like to accept the deal." She said calmly.

"What?!" Ved and the CEO had the same reactions.

"I'm accepting your offer."

"Why?" Ved asked with an incredulous look. He was very confused by her behavior. Three days ago, it looked like she swore to reject the offer, which was very Vani-like. She went on to ignore him for the past three days and today, out of nowhere she's ready to be in a fake dating situation with him which is almost a publicity stunt.

"Well, I'm not going to ask why you changed your plan. I'd like for you to go through this contract. Both of you." Ray said ignoring Ved's question directed to Vani.

The two of them read the contract that was kept in front of them. The contract mentioned that they would have to go out in public at certain times, that Vani would have to attend some concerts of his, and other things related to Ved's life that would heavily need Vani's presence.

"Any more questions?" He asked the two of them and they shook their heads. "Alright, you may go now. We'll let you know when to show your first act." He informed and the two of them left the CEO's room.

Vani was walking ahead of Ved into the elevator. In the elevator, he turned towards her with an eyebrow raise.

"Why did you say yes?"

"Changed my mind." She said and walked out of the elevator upon reaching her floor. Ved followed her, determined to leave with a real answer. As she was passing the storage room, he pulled her into it and closed the door. The room had a very narrow area surrounded with shelves. Ved stood on one side and Vani stood in front of him with very little space between them.

"Milo?!"

"Tell me the real reason as to why you accepted an offer you would never accept." He demanded still holding her hand.

She let out a breath and looked up at him, "You know when CEO Benson was talking about how someone from Ramone must've informed that guy from Paris about our video?"

"Yeah, our previous assistant manager, Harry helped. What about it?" Ved asked her.

"I remember talking about the video to my friends after the Paris trip. And the most recent I've talked about it was to Rehan."

"Your ex." Ved muttered annoyed by that name. "Where are you going with this?"

"Yesterday, Talia informed me that Rehan's working at Ramone's. So, I thought he could help us with finding out who is behind all this." she informed him with a shaking voice

"And?" Ved asked impatiently. He had a huge feeling that Vani's ex was behind all this.

"I was wrong. I called him up asking about it and he shamelessly accepted to leaking it." She spoke with tears in her eyes.

"Hey, hey, why are you crying?" Ved asked when he saw tears in her eyes.

"I didn't know he hated me so much. He told me clearly how much he hated seeing me happy with you in that video. I've done nothing wrong to him, Ved, then why me?" She whimpered.
