Ved's pov -

I regret accepting this offer.

Why?

Just why?

I was currently sitting on a freakin' roller coaster with the devil of my brother who blackmailed me into it.

How you may ask?

Well.

Three hours ago.

As I was getting back after meeting Pikachu, I saw my brother wiggling his eyebrows at me.

"What?" I asked him.

"Who was that girl?" he asked leaning on the doorframe of our bedroom.

"What? Which girl?" I asked innocently moving past him into the room.

"Don't lie to me. I saw you guys cycling." He said turning towards me and I just plopped on the bed.

I knew there was no point in lying. If he's talking about cycling, he must've definitely seen me.

"Just a girl. I met her in L.A once, and now, here."

"You don't cycle with a girl and take her to the lake whom you've just met for the second time. In fact, you avoid girls." He teased.

"I don't avoid them." I murmured.

"Yes, you do. Remember Sarah Jordans from high school?" He asked. "She's behind me like a leech, save me!" he mimicked me using a high-pitched voice.

"I didn't shriek like that and I was just shy back then. Now, I'm not." I grumbled.

"You're not shy anymore, and you can't keep flirting around now, can you? Will you just tell me who the girl was? Wait, are you seeing her? Oh my god, my baby bro is finally in a summer fling!" He screamed excitedly.

"She's not a fling. Just a friend." I corrected him. "And what do you mean finally? I've had flings before."

"Dance practice with Ms. Melanie in the summer can't be counted."

"She was hot!"

"Yeah, she was," he sighed, "but, I'm talking about dating someone for real, with feelings, you know? You've never done that." He pointed out.

"This girl is just a friend, Ezra. Besides, we don't even know each other's name." he was about to open his mouth to ask something before I stopped him and continued. "She's here on a trip with her friends. We met again at a shop and made a deal of not telling each other anything real about us, except random stuff like old stories or something and that I'll take her to places here which tourists don't usually go to." I explained. "If we find each other in L.A again, we'll just be friends for real and hang out."

"So, did she come up with the idea or you?"

"I did." I said unlocking my phone.

"You're interested in her." He stated and I looked at him with my eyebrows raised. "You're not the kind of person to randomly go up to a person and ask them if you can be friends?"

"I talked to the girl on the flight, Elaine?"

"Yeah, that's because you were stuck in one place. Talking to people sitting next to you on a flight is very normal. You could've ignored this girl at the shop, but you didn't. So, of course you're interested in her."

"Okay, fine. I am. She's just really beautiful and I wanted to get to know her more." I asked accepted.

"Yeah, she is beautiful." Ezra spoke and I narrowed my eyes at him. "What? I just agreed with the obvious. Anyways, when did you meet her in L.A?"
