Vani's pov -

"No! I will not shut up about it!"

Dinner night at Tara and Aria's suddenly turned into a drinking night. Aria's older brother had gone to South Korea and got a few bottles of Soju and other snacks for us. So, everyone thought that today was a good day to use those bottles since exam season was done. And here I thought that we'd be discussing our trip to Paris after dinner.

"If you don't want to shut up, then at least stop talking about the same thing Talia," I said annoyed while trying to get up, but failed because Talia intertwined my arms with hers too tightly.

"No, I will not. I will always talk about how much I love you and how much you mean to me, so stop being rude and accept my love." She said drunkenly.

"Gosh, Talia, I am this close to hitting you, will you at least let go of my hand?" I asked, while Leena just smiled at us with half-open eyes which meant that she was drunk too.

Talia dramatically put a hand on her heart to show that she was offended, to which I just rolled my eyes.

"I think you should try to keep up with drunk Talia's clinginess. What if you get a clingy boyfriend? What are you gonna do then?" Leena asked wiggling her eyebrows.

"He would think twice before clinging to me," I said with a death stare.

"You're scary," Leena said pouting.

"You know you love me, I know you care, just shout whenevaa and I'll be thereeee. Youu are my love, you are my heart and we will neva eva eva be aparrrrt. Are we- "

As Talia sleepily sang with Leena, her hold on me loosened, and I took this as a perfect opportunity to take my hand out of hers and run for the sober people in the apartment.

I went straight to the kitchen where Elaine and Tara were eating the leftover brownies we baked three hours ago.

"Vani, do you want some?" Asked Elaine, while feeding a spoon to Tara.

"No thanks," I replied while filling a glass with water for myself.

The six of us met at the University. Our university has all types of Majors, ranging from sports to technical to cooking, there's everything. Elaine and Leena were a year senior to the rest of us, but since all our dorm rooms were right next to each other and all of us just clicked, we hung out almost every day. Both of them graduated a year ago, with Leena majoring in Business Management and Elaine majoring in Culinary Arts.

As of now, Elaine has opened up a cute little bakery, 'Maple'. It is always flooded with customers simply because of the aesthetic décor designed by Tara and of course because of Elaine's tasty baked treats. Leena is currently working in an IT company.

After Elaine and Leena graduated, the rest of us moved out into apartments with our respective dorm roommates for familiarity. So, Elaine and Leena have a flat of their own, Tara and Aria live together in theirs, and then there are Talia and I in ours.

Aria is a model, but she wants to model for big brands and be in the biggest fashion shows in the world, so she is still sending out portfolios. She has majored in psychology just in case her modeling career doesn't take off. And as for Tara, she's currently interning as an interior designer.

All of us have such different interests, and when each of us talks about our dreams, a passion is always seen, and I believe we'll all be able to follow our dreams. Apart from interests, our personalities also differ, but there has never been a personality clash, instead it all just blends in well together.

Elaine is like the mother of our group. She is super attentive to every one of us and loves to provide us with anything and everything. She is also very intelligent. Her management skills are so on point, she is the one who helped me decide an itinerary for our trip to Paris, leaving me less anxious.
