The only thing that Ved needed for Vani to do was talk to him kindly, the way she talks to everyone else except him. He'd had enough of her being rude and ignorant towards him.

Every time he tried to talk to her alone, she either left the room or would make an excuse of having loads of work to complete. There was no way he planned on messing with her work. Again.

The first time he tried to get in between her and her work was a disaster for his heart. He slyly slid into her room after making sure no one else was there and tried talking to her. But unbeknownst to him, she was having the worst day with the slowest laptop that she was stuck with.

"How's everything going?" He asked sitting next to her on Eric's seat.

He was ignored as she was furiously attacking her keyboard which he thought was her regular way of typing.

"Do you want me to get you something to eat. I've noticed you haven't eaten anything since morning."

"No thanks." She replied before standing up and plugging the charging cable and then sat back with a huff.

"What's bothering you? Do you need my help?"

"No thanks." She replied again with a tone he couldn't comprehend.

He saw her hit her fist on the table twice already, and before she could hit it the third time, he put his hand on the table shielding hers from getting hurt. Funnily enough her force had hurt him but he couldn't let her know.

"Calm down, Vani. You'll hurt yourself." He told her and she retrieved her hand back to hitting her laptop furiously. "Alright, let me help you now." He said getting up and motioned her to pass her laptop to him. She ignored him.

"You piece of shit! Slower than a fucking turtle!" She cursed at her laptop.

"Alrighty, lightning McQueen of curses, let me get this. Quit being so stubborn and let me help you." He scolded her and snatched the laptop from her hold.

He tried to check for the settings of the keyboard and checked for any extra unused tabs. He found none and wasn't able to understand what was wrong. Vani kept an eye on everything that he was doing as she didn't trust anyone with her work. She saw him press the restart option and screamed.

"What the fuck?!" she looked at him wide-eyed.

"What?" Ved asked with a frown.

"You're restarting it! You think I didn't think of it before and didn't try? I had important tabs opened and I found some of them with great difficulty!" Vani exclaimed in horror. She wanted to cry at this point. Five whole hours of hard work just went to waste. "Leave. Get up and leave!" she snapped her fingers and motioned towards the door. Ved was horrified and scared of her. he scurried out of her work room immediately and swore that day to never to get in between Vani and her work.

"Hey!" Samar emerged from somewhere behind him and kept his hand around Ved's shoulder. "Done with practice?"

Ved nodded and they entered the lift ready to leave the building. "I wanted to say bye to Vani but she was working." He pouted.

"Aww, is my baby boy sad?" Samar cooed and Ved shoved his hand off of his shoulder which made Samar laugh. "I think you can go now; she's eating alone in the cafeteria." He informed Ved.

Ved thanked him and was about to get out of the lift on the floor at which the cafeteria was, when Samar suddenly pulled him back by his elbow while pressing the button for the lift to stay open.

"Also, I heard that she's going on a date with some guy." This made Ved snap his neck back to look in shock at Samar who just nodded.

"Who told you?"
