They both tilted their heads as they spied Robin on a ladder - Regina stood with her arms crossed.

"Are you sure this ladder is steady? I think it's older than Roland, Leo, and Ava combined."

Robin laughed. "That may be, but it's quite steady. Besides, I'm nearly finished."

Regina only cocked an eyebrow as she watched her husband screw in a couple more lightbulbs.

Killian then piped up, "I'm quite surprised you took the time to check in at the local bar, Madam Mayor."

Emma elbowed him as Regina turned to glare at him. "Don't you have a job to do?"

Robin then hopped down off the ladder. He ran his hand along his wife's back.

"I'm quite sure Killian was merely joking, weren't you?"

Robin then quirked an eyebrow at the man in question. He nodded and offered a smile.

"Of course, mate. I meant no harm - you know how I love to joke about."

Robin smiled and shook his head. "Indeed."

He then took Regina's hand in his and walked her to the door. "I'll walk you to your car. I'm sure you'll be needed back at the town hall."

"Yes, I will be."

He smiled and squeezed her hand before they headed outside.

Killian then hummed and nodded toward the ladder. "I'm rather surprised Robin didn't put this back."

With crossed arms, Emma pointed out, "He was probably going to before you put your foot in your mouth."

He rolled his eyes. "Just help me, won't you?" She couldn't help but chuckle before she followed him.

He folded the ladder before he picked it up and tucked it under his arm. He then nodded toward the back of the bar.

"Shall we?"

"Aren't you going to carry it with both hands? You're making me nervous."

With another eye roll, he told her, "I'll be fine, Swan. But I'd still be much obliged to your help as it is rather heavy."

She nodded before they headed off to the storage room. The door didn't budge as Emma jiggled the knob.

"Ugh. Why does Robin always lock this thing?"

"Come now, we can't have thieves breaking in, now, can we?"

She chuckled as she took out her keys. "I guess not." She then unlocked the door and pulled it open wide. Killian moved past her and laid the ladder against one of the walls.

He then made his way out, and Emma closed the door behind him. She locked it and placed the keys back on her belt loop.

Killian's hand lingered on her arm. "Let's get the place ready, love."

Her eyes locked on his. She then ducked her head and blushed. She cleared her throat and took a deep breath.

"Yeah, we should probably get a move on - especially since we're the only ones working tonight."

"Really? And why is that?"

"Killian, you've forgotten already? Ruby and Dorothy are on their honeymoon - and Will's sister is pretty sick."

"Ah, that's right. I do remember now." He resisted the urge to scratch behind his ear.

Robin then shuffled back through the door. "Alright, you two. Let's get this place ready for customers."
