Robin tended to the customers at the counter as Killian surveyed the tables.
"Alright, love, I say we split the tables. What do you think?"
"Sounds like a plan."
They then dispersed among the tables - when Mary Margaret walked through the door carrying a box. She waved at Emma.
The blonde turned to Killian. "You wanna take those orders, and then I'll fix them while I talk to her?"
Killian narrowed his eyes. "I don't know, Swan. I'll have to think about it."
"Think about what?" Mary Margaret chimed in as she joined them. She then shook her head.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I was interrupting, wasn't I?"
Killian smiled. "Not at all, love." He then shot Emma a wink.
"But you do owe me, Swan."
As he walked away, a blush rose to her cheeks.
Mary Margaret tilted her head. She then gestured toward the counter.
"Come on, let's sit."
"Technically, it'll just be you sitting, but yeah."
Mary Margaret smiled and shook her head before she sat down. She placed the box on the bar top.
"There are a few extra cookies in here that Leo and the team didn't eat. I thought you and Killian could share them."
"Considering that everything from that bakery is delicious, that's a definite yes."
The blonde then tilted her head. "What about Ava? She wouldn't want any?"
Mary Margaret shook her head before she explained, "She prefers brownies over cookies. She'll eat them, but they're not her favorite."
"Oh, that's right. I always thought that was kind of weird for a kid."
She then shook her head. "So, uh, is that all you wanted to talk about?"
"Oh, no. I have a favor to ask - well, you and Killian actually."
"Yeah? What is it?"
"Well, David's birthday is in a few weeks. We're going to do the family version of course - but I wanted to have a party here, too."
"I'm sure it won't be a problem - and it'll be great - but that's more of a Robin question."
"And so I will ask - but I wanted my two favorite bartenders to come up with a drink menu."
"I mean, yeah, we'd be up for it - but I'm pretty sure David would just be happy with beer on tap."
"I'm sure he would be - but I think he should also have a specialty drink made for him."
Emma couldn't help but smile. "I'm sure we can come up with something."
Mary Margaret returned her smile before Killian jogged back over. He passed Emma his notebook.
"We have quite a number of different cocktails to make."
"So, I see. I'll start on the pina coladas."
"And I'll start on the cosmos."
He then jogged behind the counter and grabbed an array of bottles and other ingredients.
He paused. "Do you want anything, Mary Margaret?"
"I haven't quite decided yet. So, you two just focus on this order."
They both nodded before they went to work. Their shoulders brushed together as they prepared the drinks.
Emma closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She jumped when Killian's hand covered hers.
