Emma then took out one of the donuts and took a bite. She closed her eyes and smiled.
She then held the donut up to his mouth. He leaned forward and bit off a piece. He licked his lips.
"Is that marshmallow filling?"
"Yep," Emma agreed before she licked her fingers. She then took another bite.
Killian adjusted the box in his arms and reached for the white paper bag.
He grinned as he took the remaining donut. "You didn't think both of them were for you, did you?"
She rolled her eyes. "Just don't drop those cookies - Mary Margaret might actually kill you."
He chuckled and shook his head. "She would be rather cross." With a tilt of his head, he said, "I can't say I would blame her though. Breadcrumbs is a rather delicious bakery."
Emma hummed. She then furrowed her eyebrows. "Although the name was never clear to me."
Killian took a bite of his donut before he explained, "It's from Hansel and Gretel - Sara and Jack are also twins, so it's fitting."
She tilted her head and scrunched her nose. "Huh. I guess it does - and I shouldn't be surprised by the fairytale theme."
He laughed and shook his head. "Well, Swan, with a picturesque town like Storybrooke, it's rather easy to see the comparison."
He then nudged her shoulder with his. "What's the matter, love? Not the fairytale sort?"
She shook her head and rolled her eyes. She then took a bite of the donut, the filling sliding down her chin.
She snatched the bag from Killian and grabbed a napkin. She wiped her mouth before she licked the excess.
A grin spread across her features. "Clearly, I'm perfect princess material."
With a laugh, Killian then offered, "Well, love, you'd make a hell of a pirate."
She giggled. "So, does that make you the Jack Sparrow to my Elizabeth Swann?"
He side-eyed her. "There should be a captain in there somewhere."
Emma refrained from an eye roll and feigned a smile. "Oh, forgive me, Captain - I should have known better."
He shook his head. "I don't appreciate the sarcasm."
She chuckled and nudged his arm. "You're one to talk."
He grinned. "I can't very well argue with that, can I?"
Emma rolled her eyes while he laughed. She then swatted his arm before she finished her donut.
She grabbed another napkin and wiped her hands and mouth. She then wiped the excess on her jeans.
She sighed and planted her hands on her hips. "I should have grabbed some water at the bakery."
Killian hummed. "I'm sure Mary Margaret has plenty of refreshments."
Emma couldn't help but chuckle. She then waved her hand ahead of them.
"Turn by the hardware store. It's the easiest way to get to the school."
Killian smiled and shook his head before they both stopped to toss their trash. He then reminded her, "I know where it is, Swan."
She shrugged her shoulders. "I was just making sure. You do have a tendency to get distracted."
"Only when you're around, love."
He winked at her. A blush colored her cheeks as she pushed her hair behind her ear and looked down at her combat boots.
She then sighed. "Damn it. The marshmallow - it's on my shirt, too."
