It was nighttime, Steven sat on the beach, staring at the waves and gazing into the night sky. He had never heard of a "Redstone" or a "Yellowstone" or any gem with "stone" at the end. As a matter of fact, he's never met a gem who WASN'T a gem, but a stone! It's concerning enough remembering when Amethyst cracked her gem on a rock... a stone rock! She almost shattered had they not restored water to the fountain.

Steven had already called Connie to tell her that everything was fine. All the gems had already went their separate ways; Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl went back to the temple to make a defense and attack plan for earth while Lapis, Peridot and Bismuth went back to little Homeworld to keep watch if the blue and green stones were to return.

Steven was alone, with more fry bits... and a slice of fish stew pizza. Despite being vegetarian, he couldn't help himself, he just wanted to find some way to relax. Suddenly he began to feel irritated, grabbing his face in slight pain. The punch to the face had the same force and strength as Jaspers punches, just how strong was Redstone anyways? And who was he? How could he heal just from the sand? Did he get abandoned like Spinel? And Why attack him when he clearly was outnumbered? especially because Steven was a DIAMOND.

Just as all these thoughts were clouding his head, he heard footsteps from behind him, turning to see lapis. "Steven... are you okay?" Weird, she was there fighting, Why even ask? Then again, she was blinded by a dust that Bluestone threw. Obviously she couldn't see anything until the two stones had escaped. Steven looked down at his food, "No." Was all he could say. Lapis started to sit next to him and watch the ocean and sky. "I know this wasn't how you wanted to come back to Beach City, especially when you almost felt like you were gonna die." Lapis said, she felt so bad for what Steven had just went through in only one day.

"Yeah... but I was more worried you guys would die instead of me... I'm just glad you're all okay." Steven said, a bit relaxed, at least he could talk for a bit with someone than being alone. Silence filled the air for a brief moment before Lapis began to speak. "I was worried when you got stabbed, I mean... everyone was." Steven began to think about it. This was the first he was actually stabbed, it was kind of a new pace once, but fun but at least new. "Yeah, don't worry about it. I'm all better, see?" Steven said, pulling his shirt to reveal the once stabbed mark to just be normal skin.

Lapis gave a small smile despite her worries for Steven. "I know... just wanted to come and check on you before I went back home." Lapis said hoping that Steven knew that they all cared so much about him. Like always, they wouldn't be who they are if it wasn't for him.

Continuing to eat his fry bits, Steven looked back at the ocean. "Thanks, I'll be fine like I said, go on and head home, tomorrow we'll think of something." Steven insisted turning to her a comforting smile, it still bothered him that he's now facing a threat that he's never heard of in his life. "Well... alright." Lapis said with a sigh afterwards. Suddenly... Steven felt her hand hold onto his, looking down to see her hand above his.

This was odd... Lapis never really held his hand in such a way like she's doing now. Turning back up to her, Lapis looked at him with a smile, her eyes shining like stars and her hair gently blowing in the wind. Steven was becoming weirded out, this wasn't like her. "See you tomorrow Steven!" Lapis said, looking into his eyes, both now staring for a brief moment before... she kissed him.

Steven was beginning to freak out. The kiss felt like forever for Steven, his stared wide eyed as she had her eyes closed, enjoying the moment. "LAPIS WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Steven shouted, pulling away and quickly getting up, accidentally spilling his bag of fry bits. Lapis seemed spooked for a moment but then looked confused. "Lapis? Steven what are you talking about?" This was now becoming too much of a freak show for Steven, why all of a sudden is she playing dumb? "Why did you kiss me!?" He shouted, demanding an answer from her.
