Just a few explanations to do Incase you do not understand the plot fully.
Adrik a.k.a Luscious
He is secretive and a kind of person who reads people and judges . He is an assassin with the job of killing Selena in one week but to do that he had to get closer to her so he became her bodyguard though that would make the job slower cause he needed to kill her without suspicion
He gets to the Harlem home and meets Etoria , he becomes bewitched with her features and only fantasizes a fuck relationship with her so he tries to not show it and to avoid her as much as possible cause it would jeopardize his mission and his principles if he were to engage in a fuck relationship with Etoria.
Etoria
She is caring and seems like the older one between her and Selena , she finds it easy and like a task to make everyone around her comfortable,happy and at peace hence why she talks so calmly and motherly like
She sees the flaws in Selena but ignores not probing further until Luscious arrives and she scowls at Selena in her head for the first time ever . She sees Luscious as an epitome of sexiness such that he is able to pull a curse word from her mouth on their first meeting and so all she wants is to have sex with him .
Selena
She is a spoilt woman who likes having new toys but still loves the attention from her old ones . She loves to have everyone at her beck and call and she does but she has never been said a No to and she won't start anytime soon. Whatever she wants she likes to get with the feeling of fullness that comes with it .
Vallentino
He is a mafia don though no one knows as of yet (sneak peek into chapter). He is In love with a woman called Sophia but is about to get married to Selena .
He is delirious with the thought that he can use Selena to replace Sophia but then the genuine feeling of liking Selena underlays his self deceit .
Mr. Harlem
He is a man who has lost his wife to death but earned the life of his daughter, he takes care of her diligently but is so protective of her that he becomes too involved in dictating her life cause he thinks he knows what's best for her.
