I have been keeping my pregnancy a secret for some days now but today not anymore

I decided i'd tell Adrik all about my pregnancy including the risks and threat to my life but I want this baby so I will simply stand my ground for my child , I know he'll let me have our baby I know

Today Adrik has a job interview, yes , he left the underworld and everything related to it behind , he doesn't even speak to Sean anymore , am so grateful for it but am proud as well , he's been trying to earn legally for us and today I will tell him the good news after receiving the good news of his job

" Agapi am leaving now " He said snapping me from my thoughts as he placed a kiss on my forehead

For some reason I pulled him back and kissed him hard

" Come back soon okay" I said feeling his absence without him leaving yet, maybe I was just tense about his job

" Okay" He said grabbing his bag and leaving our condo

-----Hours Later, Afternoon

I reduced the volume of the television as I was hearing a knock and that's when I became certain

"It's alright hon..." I said but stopped as it wasn't Adrik as I expected

" Where you expecting someone" He said but I noticed his disheveled and distressed look so I moved aside to let him in, I shouldn't have

" Oh no , I thought it was Adrik " I said offering him a seat

" Ooh he's not home ?" He asked

" Yes he's not , he has a job interview today and am really hoping he gets it " I said with a smile thinking about how I would double his happiness when I tell him about our cute little baby on the way

" I see" He said and then there was silence

" Why are you here Vallentino " I said breaking the silence

" Etoria , I love Selena a lot , I love her with all my heart but she doesn't believe me She doesn't even love me back " He said sounding so broken I was stunned

" Th..that's not true Vallentino, she loves you " I said trying to comfort him

"Do you know what she said, she said she had never been happy with me that it only seemed blissful while it lasted and I swear I didn't mean to lie and deceive her. I may have married her cause of her resemblance to Sophia but I genuinely loved her along the line if our journey together".

"She has no idea how she makes my heart beat , she is my reminder that am living , Etoria I love her so much that i' d do anything to get her to love me back".

"You know ? , i' d always tell ber that I love her over and I've again at intervals but today , today she asked me to prove my love to her ".

"I accepted her woes as mine , I never judged her for her past and her struggles rather I tried to help her through it".

"You know?, she would wake up at night covered in sweat from a nightmare but I would always be by her side already cleaning the sweat of her".

"Her mum fed her poisons of incompetence, hatred, love in an impure form but I did everything and said all I could to change that perspective of hers , I even went as far as to book her  therapy sessions ".

"Today all my efforts proved to be in vain , Etoria she doesn't love me ". He said as tears slid down his face

"She d...." does i would have said but my phone rung on the dining table making me excuse myself from the lounge to pick up the call

" Agapi mou!!" I heard him exclaim bringing a smile on my face

" Yes my love " I said cheekily

" I got the job !!" He said excitedly

" I knew you would and that's why you should hurry back home , I have a surprise for you that would double your happiness" I said with a serious tone

" And what might that be ?" He asked and I would have responded if I wasn't caught off guard by words said behind me

"I'm sorry Etoria but I'd do anything to get Selena's love even if it means killing you " I turned around sharply meeting the hooded gaze of Vallentino

" Vallentino what are you saying " I asked with the phone to my ear but I got no response

" Etoria , is Vallentino there?, why?, stay on the line I'll be home soon" I heard Adrik say on the line and I would have responded with words if I hadn't been struck on the head

"Aaaahhhh" I shrieked as my phone fell off my hand to the floor

" Etoria , are you there?, talk to me" I heard Adrik say on the call as my phone had placed the call on speaker mode

" Am so sorry " Vallentino whispered but I heard , making me confused as to why?

" Why are you doing this Vallentino ?" I asked him holding a palm to my bleeding head

" Vallentino don't you dare touch her ,you hear me " Adrik Yelled

" All I want is Selena's love why can't you both understand that , she won't love me unless she doesn't find anyone around to make her love feel insufficient, she has low self esteem even with all my help , she won't see herself as good enough unless the love story she so fancies breaks and she takes your position ".

He said breathing heavily and distracted so I took my chance, grabbed my phone  and raced to the bedroom and I tried to lock the door but I was too late , there he stood

"Adrik pleaseeee help me " I yelled into the phone

"Am almost there baby , am so close " He said back , I could sense he was trying to be calm as he drove

"Vallentino please , even Adrik doesn't know this , Am pregnant . I am pregnant with a foetus , I want to give birth to this child and if it's a girl I want to name her Arielle and if it's a boy I want to name him Zeal , for the love of God please, for the love of humanity please, for the love of motherhood  please , for the SAKE of my unborn child please , I beg you Vallentino don't do this "

I begged consistently with all I had wrapping my hand around my stomach , I just wanted to be a mother . Don't be cruel on me please

" Congratulations Adrik , you are going to be a father , but it's sad you would only hear the news but not live the life . Am sorry Etoria , to have my own family I need to break yours apart "

" Vallentino please I beg you please am right downstairs we can talk about this " Adrik rambled on in an attempt to save me but In that moment I knew my husband was my hero but only in my heart not in reality

"I love you Adrik, our baby loves you and you need to love yourself too" I yelled to my love quickly as I saw Vallentino pull out a gun and bangs followed .A bullet had lodged itself in my heart and I felt the glass behind me shatter as I fell through

God am coming to you , Dad and mum please welcome me and Life please be fair and give my share of happiness to the one I love the most , Adrik Hunter

"No!!!no!!no, stay Etoria , your name stay with me pleaseeee, our baby needs you , I need you and our baby . I love you pleaseee"

I heard his voice for the last time but I couldn't say it back as I felt the darkness swallow me forever
