"If I just lay here, would you lie with me and just forget the world."~
Hermione
Once I finally calmed down from Leo's and I spat. I realized how unreasonable I'm being by having him choose. It's his family and all he knows. I know he loves me just as much, so making him choose was completely unfair. In
Sighing I decide to get dress for the day, putting on lounge clothes and neglecting make up. I couldn't be bothered to do anything with my face and hair I am so drained. Last night's events still wandering in my head.
Mom.
Gathering my courage, I exit our room and make my way down to the kitchen. The halls been of blood clean and the maids are taking down yesterday's party decor. The smell of food invades my nostrils and my stomach growls with need.
"Madam Carter, the family is in the dining room. They await for you before having brunch." A maid named Penelope says as she pushes through the kitchen doors with a coffee cart.
I smile softly at her, "Thank you Penelope. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your family."
"Yes I did, thank you!" She beams at me before making her way down to the dining room. I smile and follow her.
"Here let me help you." I voice out before grabbing the steaming coffee canter. She looks at me as if I told her I was Jesus himself.
"What is it? Am I messing up something?" I ask wondering if she had her own routine and I've interrupted.
"No, not at all. It's been awhile since a Queen has been around the estate. Mrs. Sicario she always helped before former Don Sicario died—"She says before covering her mouth quickly.
"I've gossiped! I'm sorry for speaking freely with you without asking."
What am I? The Queen of England?
I smile and lay my hand on her shoulder, "I'm just a person you can speak freely with me all the time. And please just call me Hermione."
She lets a relief sigh and nod, "Yes madam- I mean yes Hermione." She giggles causing me to chuckle as well.
She wheels the cart into the dining hall that fills with laughter peaking my interest as I hear my mom's laugh as well.
"Oh these gremlins were little shits I tell you Maria." The voice unrecognizable but she sat at the head of the table opposite from Leo.
I hand Penelope the coffee canister as she begins to make her way around the table. My mom was wiping tears of laughter from her eyes as she sat on the left of the lady and Gia on the right of her. I never seen Gia's face so content and her body at ease. The men smiling and laughing and they look ten years younger. Christina even looks at peace as she and Charlottes eyes glue to every word. Andrea and Javi were even here basking in the joyful atmosphere.
"Well Hermione had her Gremlin ways as well. There was this one time her sophomore year—"
"Mom!" I groan automatically already knowing the story she was about to speak of.
My mom's eyes shot up along with everyone's gaze. I feel like I was intruding and interrupted a good time. But when the lady of the voice I didn't recognize turn around towards me, my mouth nearly dropped.
Diandra Sicario stood before me in the flesh. The real Queen of the Sicario family had returned home.
She flashed me a smile that brighten the room it seemed, "Hermione! I'm glad you're here! Now Ricky can stop whining and eat!" She stands and walks over to me.
