*Iwaizumi, sitting next to him after practice, taking the ice pack from Oikawa to hold it on his head himself*: How's your head?
*Oikawa, grinning*: Haven't had any complaints yet.
*Iwaizumi, playfully rolling his eyes, an exasperated sigh leaving his lips in lieu of a smile*: Go fuck yourself Kawa
*Oikawa, winking*: Why don't you do that for me instead?

*After they lose THE match*
Iwaizumi: It's not your fault.
Oikawa: I know.
Iwaizumi: No, Kawa, it's not your fault.
Oikawa: I know
Iwaizumi: No no you don't, its not your fault
Oikawa: Alright Iwa, I get it already.
Iwaizumi: It's not your fault
*Oikawa, his voice cracking slightly, his voice barely above a whisper*: Don't fuck with me.
Iwaizumi: It's not your fault.
Oikawa: Don't fuck with me, alright? Not you Haji-
Iwaizumi: My love, it's not your fault. It was never your fault. You did your best, we all did.
*Oikawa breaks down crying, Iwaizumi hugs him close and lets his own tears run down until their cheeks are strained from the salty tracks their tears left. They might have lost, but they still have each other.*

*Iwaizumi, in Argentina, hugging Oikawa*
Iwaizumi: God I missed you.
*Oikawa, giggling*: You talked to me every day
Iwaizumi: Please, tell me you know that's not the same thing.
Oikawa: Sap.
Iwaizumi: Simp.
*Oikawa, laughing and pulling away from the hug*: Wooow.
