TWO HOURS LATER, MICHEAL SAT NEXT TO Josy on their bed, bouncing his leg up and down. She laid next to him and cried, holding her head in her hands. He leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. He had just finished breaking up with her and she instantly broke out in tears. She didn't understand what she did wrong. He used to be head over heels for her but now everything changed and she didn't understand.
"Was it because I've gained weight?" She found herself asking. "I can lose the weight, Micheal."
"No." He said, shaking his head. "It has nothing to do with you. You're an amazing woman and you will find someone else who can love you the way that I couldn't."
"Oh come on!" She stood up from the bed and placed her hands on her hips. "You're just saying that to cover up the fact that you're not attracted to me and you don't value me anymore. Was it another woman? Do you have eyes elsewhere?"
He pinched the bridge of his nose, feeling stressed. He didn't want Josy to think she wasn't worth anything just because of him. She was incredible and someone else was going to give her exactly what she wanted. It just wasn't him.
"So the answer is yes. Who the fuck is she?!" She yelled out, her voice cracking. She scoffed, grabbed her suitcase, and began throwing her belongings inside. He felt his throat tightening as he stood up. "I think you should calm down-."
She raised her hand and slapped him, his head turning to the side. Her tears landed on the floor and she used a tissue she found in her purse to wipe her nose. "Do not tell me to calm down! You're not telling me the truth so don't you dare go there with me."
He clenched his jaw, turning his head back to her. "I am telling you the truth. I'm not happy right now."
She looked at him through her glossy eyes, "Why?"
"Why?" He asked. "I just am."
"I don't believe that." She continued packing, walking into the bathroom, and grabbing all her toiletries. She threw them into the suitcase, some of her things missing completely. "A couple of weeks ago, you broke up with me because you accused me of cheating. Now, you're breaking up with me because... you want to be happy? Let me find you projected on me and you're the one who cheated, Micheal. I will bring the devil to your doorstep!"
He scratched the back of his neck, feeling guilty about bringing this much pain to Josy's life. No, he wasn't sorry for what he had with Beyonce but he was sorry for dragging Josy along. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry things had to be this way."
