FLASHBACK - 22 YEARS AGO (1984)
Micheal tossed his backpack down on the floor after arriving back from school. He bent down and petted his mother's cat before calling out her name. Judy Richardson was in her study admiring all her awards. "I'm in here, darlin!"
14-year-old Micheal entered inside just as she crossed her arms, running her eyes all over her merchandise. He stood next to her and she placed a kiss on his forehead, me saying his blonde hair. "How was school?"
"Good." He lied, keeping his head down. There was a group of young boys who liked to pick on Michael all because he struggled with making friends. He was a major introvert, only keeping to himself. Somehow, that was still enough for them to bother him. But he never told his mother, she would only make matters worse and that was the last thing he wanted.
They stood in a comfortable silence—so silent, that they could hear the grasshoppers outside.
"Do you miss it?" He asked, looking at her. She frowned softly, reminiscing. In the 1960's, Judy was a DCC—Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader for 4 seasons straight. She had to go through a rigorous 3-month audition process which consisted of her auditioning online, then doing solos, fieldwork, and finally training camp. It was everything she ever dreamed of since she was a little girl.
"Of course." She picked up a photo of her and together, they looked at it.

She remembered cheering vividly and she especially remembered one of the games where she met Andrew: Micheal's father and her late husband. Andrew was a part of the DC football team and while on the sidelines, he would always sneak a couple glances down her way. After all, she was a beautiful blonde with bombshell curls, America was in love with her.
Andrew and she started dating secretly. They weren't allowed to date because they had both signed contracts promising not to date or sleep with any of the footballers or cheerleaders. But they managed to make it work. Shortly after, they got married in Dallas and she gave birth to Micheal.
