Sadistic Saint
CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVENTWO DAYS LATER, MICHEAL WALKED INTO a local bar. The man settled near the counter, ordering a beer. He spotted Solange who was chatting with a couple of friends. When she looked in his direction, he offered her a wave— one that she returned.
"Is she performing yet? When is she coming out!" He heard from his right. Three people whispered to themselves and he wondered who exactly they were talking about.
He followed their gaze and looked at the television where a man spoke. "This next performer is here to take the stage tonight as she performs Deja Vu with Jay Z. Please welcome Beyonce!"
Upon hearing her name, Micheal's body tensed. His eyes widened while her BET performance was being televised. He sucked in a much-needed breath, looking back at Solange who only sadly smiled at him.
The crowd cheered as the smoke cleared, revealing the sparkly silver outfit she wore. Her hair was curly and she had silver details taped onto the side of her legs and stomach. She stood on a ladder, moving her hips to the beat of Deja Vu.
Finally, she raised her microphone to her lips. "BET! I'm ready, let's go get them!"
The song stopped for a moment and she strutted her way to the center of the stage. Finally, she began singing and the beat started once again. "Baby, seem like everywhere I go I see you. From your eyes I smile, it's like I breathe you. Helplessly I reminisce, don't want to compare nobody to you. Boy, I try to catch myself, but I'm outta control. Your sexiness is so appealing, I can't let it go!"
She made her way to her guitar players and stood in front. Then, she shook her hips, dancing side to side as they followed behind. The backup sounders sang the lyrics, harmonizing on certain words. "Know that I can't get over you. Cause everything I see is you. And I don't want no substitute. Baby, I swear it's Déjà Vu. Know that I can't get over you. Cause everything I see is you. And I don't want no substitute. Baby, I swear it's Déjà Vu!"
"Seeing, things that I know can't be, am I dreaming? When I saw you walkin' past me almost called your name. Got a better glimpse and then I looked away. It's like I'm losing it! Boy, I try to catch myself but I'm outta control. Your sexiness is so appealing, I can't let it go, oh!" She smiled, twisting her body continuously so the fringes on her mini skirt would shake.
When Micheal received his beer, he took a much-needed sip, keeping his eyes on the performance. He knew he was still upset with her but at that moment, he had completely switched up. She was on fire tonight and he could tell by the way she effortlessly moved, she was having a blast. He nodded to himself. At least one of them was happy.
"Know that I can't get over you. Cause everything I see is you. And I don't want no substitute. Baby, I swear it's Déjà Vu. Know that I can't get over you. Cause everything I see is you. And I don't want no substitute. Baby, I swear it's Déjà Vu."
