Sadistic Saint
CHAPTER SIXTINA PLACED THE LAST BOWL ONTO THE table and crossed her arms. Her family chatted to themselves as they began dishing their food, thanking her for breakfast. She furrowed her eyebrows together in confusion when she realized Beyonce wasn't anywhere to be found. "Where is she? We're about to say our prayer."
"She's upstairs getting ready." Solange nodded her head, just as her mother sat down. "For what? There ain't non planned today."
"You know how she is. Daddy, can you pass the strawberry jam, please?"
"Here you go, baby." Mathew passed the jam, sending a smile to Tina. "This looks great."
Tina offered him a forced smile, soon looking at Lumis and Agnez. An awkward silence entered the room as the family waited for Beyonce. "Have y'all gone to y'all's counseling?"
She frowned at her parents. They didn't know about what was happening. They didn't know about the cheating and the lying Mathew had done. They just knew the couple was having issues and were going to couples therapy.
"Yeah," Mathew said. And it hasn't been doing a damn thing.
Meanwhile, Beyonce flipped through the pages of her childhood book. There were hundreds of pictures of her and Miley from when they were both young. She knew it was her fault; leaving for LA and not having the time to answer any of Miley's calls. They used to be best friends and she wanted that back. Sometimes, she wished she hadn't packed up and moved so quickly. Maybe, she should have just stayed and embraced her quiet childhood life a little bit.
The bedroom door opened and inside Tina walked. Beyonce smiled, just as her mother sat down next to her. "Hey, mama."
"Hey, peach. I know you hear me calling you about breakfast."
"I know. I was just looking at one of the picture books I got downstairs." She responded, just as her mother grabbed a hairbrush and began brushing her hair. "I see you're looking through your 7th birthday photo book."
"Just got curious." Beyonce hummed, setting it aside. She closed her eyes as Tina handled her hair. It didn't matter how many hair stylists she hired, no one would ever compare to her mother. "You remember Miley?"
"Of course. The question is do you?" Tina grabbed some hair oil and rubbed it on her hands. Then, she ran her fingers through Beyoncé's scalp. "Very funny... I saw her the other day and I... I miss her."
"Of course you do. She was your first-ever best friend. It used to be you, Miley, and Kelly. You all were the iconic trio."
"How do I become her friend again? She probably doesn't want to speak anymore and Lord knows, I deserve whatever treatment she gives me." She sighed, leaning back onto her mother. "I fucked up. When Kelly and I left for LA, it was so hard to keep in contact with her. We were both so busy. If I was her, I would be upset with me too."
