Chapter 24

"Oh my goodness." His Mom exclaimed. "Desiree is the girl?!" She excitedly asked.

Jax proudly nodded. "Meet my lovely girlfriend." He grinned.

Achilles frowned. "Didn't you say you were still courting her?" He asked as Jax nodded. "Did you black mail her into this relationship?" He asked again as Jax dramatically gasped.

He looked at his Mom. "Mommy, look at your ungrateful youngest! After all I've done for him he's going to treat me like this." Inis na sabi ni Jax.

"Does Andrea Daisy know about this?" Tita asked me, referring to my Mom, as I nodded.

I smiled. "Opo. Sinabi ko po noong nagpaalam akong pupunta ako rito." I said.

Achilles was looking at Jax suspiciously. "The hell are you looking at, Jaiden?" Jax asked.

Achilles shrugged. "Nothing, I just really think you blackmailed her into being your girlfriend. You're impatient, so I guess you couldn't wait any longer." He teased.

Jax pouted and looked at me. "Babi, look at your brother-in-law." Parang batang sumbong niya at napatawa naman ako.

I flicked his forehead. "Ang advanced mo mag-isip." I frowned as he snickered.

"C'est la vie, baby." He grinned.

I heard Achilles scoff. "Ew." He grimaced.

Tumawa naman ang Mommy nila. "When will you get a girlfriend kase,  Achi?" Tanong niya at umirap naman si Achi.

"When I can finally speak Tagalog because my block mate is actually making fun of how I sound so much like a British person, that's why people don't even attempt to befriend me." Singhal niya.

Ang napakasama naman niyang kuya ay tinawanan siya. "That's rough." Komento niya at hinila ako patungo sa kung saan.

"I'll take her to my room." Pagpapaalam niya kina Tita at tumango naman sila.

Tita smiled at me. "Try not to be surprised about what's in his room, alright? Apat na taon na nakalipas simula noong pumunta siya rito pero kung ano-anong pinapalagay niya kay Achilles doon." Tumawa siya at tumango naman ako nang mabagal.

Weird. Ano kayang laman ng kwarto niya?

He opened the door and my jaw dropped as soon as I stepped inside his room. Gago?

There was a picture frame hanged on his wall, my picture when I graduated SHS to be specific. What really shocked me was how big it was. Alam mo iyong 1/2 na card board? Yeah, ganoon kalaki.

Hindi makapaniwalang tinignan ko siya. "Ang weird?" Kako at napakamot siya sa batok niya.

He smiled awkwardly. "I know, but I didn't think I'll bring you here as soon as I'll get here and I asked Achilles to put that in there. I thought kase it was really pretty. I didn't put it in my room sa Philippines though." He said, as if that makes it better.

"It slipped my mind, I was too excited about bringing you here and you being my girlfriend." He said as I flicked his forehead.

"Tanggalin mo iyan." Kako at ngumuso siya.

He waved his hand, shaking it off. "Baby, don't mind it nalang. It's too hassle to take it off now. I plan on having that there forever." He shrugged.

My jaw almost dropped to the floor. "Hayop ka Atlantis. Tanggalin mo nga iyan. I'm bothered, wala ka pa ngang isang picture mo na naka frame rito tapos ang laki-laki niyang picture ko diyan. E'di mukhang ako na ang may kwarto rito." Inis na sabi ko.

Tumawa lang siya at kinuha ang mga bag ko mula sa akin at nagtungo sa walk-in closet niya. Tignan mo nga naman kung gaano kayaman ang gago, may walk-in closet sa condo doon sa Pilipinas tapos hanggang dito mayroon pa rin. Sana all nalang.

"What's mine is yours, love. Just take a seat anywhere but do not touch your pictures." He warned.

"Akin naman kase tapos ayaw pahawak. Kala mo siya yung nasa picture." I mumbled as he came back and flicked my forehead.

"For your information, those are mine. I'm the one who asked Jaiden to print them and every single centavo that was used to frame and print those were my money." He said as I rolled my eyes.

"Oo na sa iyo na. Alis na." Kako at tinulak siya palayo.

"Why are you pushing me away?" Nakakunot noong tanong niya.

Hinampas ko naman ang braso niya. "Weren't you going to unpack earlier?" Tanong ko at tumayo.

"Tara na. Tutulungan kita." Kako at pinigilan niya ako.

"No. You stay here nalang." He said.

Tumaas naman ang kilay ko. "Bakit?" Tanong ko.

He laughed nervously. "Because, love. Just because." He said as I rolled my eyes and pulled him to his walk-in closet.

"No." He pulled me back. "You sit down nalang." Sabi niya.

"Ano bang problema mo?" Inis na sabi ko. Naiinis na ako talaga for real.

"Ihh." Parang batang sabi niya.

"Don't act childish with me. Tara na." Kako at pumasok sa walk-in closet niya.

My jaw almost dropped to the floor because of shock. This is worse than what's in his room.

There was a table in the corner of the closet and in that table was full of my pictures, framed.

"You're a stalker." I uttered as he scoffed.

"No, I'm not. You sent me those pictures and I didn't stalk you." He said as I hit his arm.

Kalurky. He's worse than a stalker, tapos wala pa siya rito eh anong silbi ng mga picture ko rito? "Anong gagawin mo sa mga iyan? Wala ka naman dito?" Tanong ko.

"So, that when someone enters my room knowing it's mine, they'll know I'm owned by you. Really romantic, right?" Mayabang na sabi niya.

Napatawa naman ako. "OA ka." Natatawang sabi ko. "Kailan mo pa sinimulan 'to?" I asked while we were unpacking.

"After a year of courting you." He replied as I sighed.

"Kailan mo tatanggalin?" Tanong ko at tinignan naman niya ako ng walang emosyon sa mga mata niya.

"I won't." He plainly said as I frowned.

"You just can't keep these here forever." I said as he shrugged.

"I can and I will." He said.

What if? What if we won't last forever and he wasn't meant for me? When he finds someone else, will he remove it then?

"Paano kung hindi pala talaga tayo? Will you still keep it then?" I blurted and he stopped moving.

"I will." He said.

He's determined. "Paano kung may bago ka na?" Tanong ko.

"I won't have anyone after you, Des. Even if I will, I still won't remove those." Sabi niya at napakunot naman ang noo ko.

Rebound ba? "Gaga, pinamukha mo naman sakaniya na mahal mo pa ex mo." Kako.

"I will always do. Besides, I already told you that I won't remove them. Don't even try to gaslight or manipulate me because I'm better than you at those games." He grinned.

Umirap naman ako. "Bakit kase ayaw mo tanggalin?" Inis na tanong ko.

"Because they prove that I have someone like you existing in my life. That those are mine and you are too."
