The new resident will be arriving today

He'll be working for you like a secretary or such

I frowned at his text. I totally almost forgot about that. Umalis na naman kase ang gago. Bwisit siya.

To: Clint

Asan ka na naman ba kase?

I was drying my hair while looking at my phone.

From: Clint

I'm somewhere important

Napairap naman ako sa reply niya. Somewhere important, right.

When I arrived at the hospital, almost everyone was hovering in one place.

I pulled nurse Ria. "What's wrong?" Tanong ko sakaniya.

"Ay doc, hindi po kayo informed? Sa new resident ng pedia?" Tanong niya.

I frowned. "I am aware, nasaan nga ba iyon? Clint told me to take care of him. Why would a resident need to be taken care of anyway?" I rolled my eyes.

Tumawa naman siya. "Nandoon po." Turo niya sa gitna ng mga nagkukumpulang tao.

Napangiwi naman ako. "Why are people hovering over him?" Inis na tanong ko.

She chuckled and patted my back. "Makikita mo rin, doc." Sabi niya na nagpakunot sa noo ko.

She clapped her hands to take the attention of the people. "Everyone! Please return to your stations because Doctor Aguilar will be taking the new resident in her care." She smiled and I frowned even more. Was that necessary?

Well, I guess it makes my life more easier because they all went back to their stations as nurse Ria said. "Lucky mo, doc!" Nurses said as I frowned. Lucky for what? Taking care of a resident?

I shrugged and looked at the resident, they were talking about. My jaw dropped when I saw the resident. What the fuck is Clint on about?!

"What the fuck are you doing here?!" Inis na turo ko sakaniya.

Ngumiti naman siya. "Clint told you to take care of me, right? I'm happy to be in your care, Aree." He grinned.

I took my phone out and called Clint. "What the hell is wrong with you?!" I angrily asked as soon as he picked up.

"Um-oo ka naman eh. Tsaka okay lang yan. Closure ba gano'n." My brows furrowed.

"Closure?! For what?" Inis na tanong ko.

"Ah basta. Bahala ka riyan, hindi muna ako babalik ng mga isa or dalawang buwan." He uttered before ending the call.

I glared at Jax who was walking towards me. "Hindi pa ba sapat ang mga career mo? You're already a chemist, a model, and a businessman. Tapos ngayon gusto mo pa maging pediatrician." I said as he smiled.

"What can I say, I'm a genius." Mayabang na sabi niya.

Umirap naman ako. "Pakihanap pake ko." Kako at naglakad papunta sa room ni Creyton para tignan ang kalagayan niya.

Jax was just following behind me and I hate it. I hate that when I saw him, I actually felt glad that he was doing great. Why would I feel glad about seeing someone who cheated on me? Still pathetic as ever.
