Chapter 11

She went home and searched her close looking for something cute to wear.

Mansi cleared her throat and Aarti looked up.

"Going somewhere?"

Mansi asked and Aarti nodded her head.

"A bunch of my coworkers are going clubbing but I don't know what to wear"

Aarti sighed and Mansi chuckled.

"Okay, I can help you with that"

She said and Aarti face lit up.

"What do you have in mind to wear?"

Mansi asked and Aarti became red in embarrassment.

"Whatever I'm wearing right now"

She said quietly as she looked at herself in the mirror. She was wearing a dress pant and a cute blouse. Mansi let out a small laugh.

"If you go to the club wearing this, people might think you're the manager"

Mansi said and Aarti put her hand over her mouth and then chuckled.

"Don't worry, I have something in my closet that might work"

Mansi left the room and then came back two minutes later, with a beautiful short black backless dress.

"Woah, this is gorgeous but isn't it a bit too much for the club?"

Aarti asked as she admired herself.

"It's perfect. You look amazing in it"

Mansi said complimenting her.

"Besides, you might find a handsome guy looking like this"

Mansi whispered in her ear and Aarti couldn't stop thinking about Yash.

"The one I want doesn't want me"

She whispered to herself.

"Would you like to join us?"

She asked Mansi.

"I would love to but I'm meeting Aman for a movie date"

Mansi frowned.

"Maybe next time? You two have fun"

Aarti teased. She was happy for Mansi and Aman; they both deserve to be happy together. Aarti finished getting ready, she straighten her hair and Mansi helped her with some party makeup. She looked at herself in the mirror and could barely recognize herself. 

"Thank you Mansi, for everything"

She hugged her before leaving the apartment.

She met up with Pari and the rest of the girls, they all looked so pretty in their little dresses.

"You look stunning Aarti. Where were you hiding this hourglass body?"

Pari teased and Aarti chuckled. She ordered shots for everyone and Aarti was hesitant at first since she's a lightweight.

"Cheers to new friendships"

Pari raised her glass high, so did everyone else.

"And I guess to Yash sir engagement"

She continued and Aarti suddenly felt dejected again. Before everyone could take their shots, Aarti gulped the entire shot down her throat.

"Woah Aarti, we were not ready as yet"

Pari joked and Aarti felt embarrassed.

"Here's another one. Let's all take it on the count of three"
