"Mom, don't you know how to knock?"

Yash got up and walked towards his mom. When did she get back from France, he wondered.

"I. I should've knocked, but why is she here"

Her eyes still stuck on Aarti, her nostril fuming.

"Let's talk outside"

Yash took her to the other room while Aarti sat there, mortified.

"What the hell is going on Yash? Why is Aarti here? And why is she naked?"

His mom yelled as soon as they entered the other room.

"Lower your voice mom, Aarti can hear us"

Yash was more worried about Aarti's mental health.

"I don't care, Yash. Why is that ill fated woman in your house?"

She yelled and Yash tried to calm her down.

"You need to stop shouting, you hear me? Stop right now"

Yash voice was firm, which angered his mom.

"You're defending a characterless woman? You're taking her side over your own mother?"

Gaitre teared up, trying to manipulate Yash.

"Enough mom. Aarti is not characterless"

Yash was angry at his mom for defaming Aarti's character.

"Oh really? She spread her legs for you and once again you forget how she betrayed you?"

His mom scoffed. Yash made his fist into a ball, he tried to calm himself down as he listened to his mom talk. He couldn't recognize the woman standing in front of him. He never expected her to degrade Aarti, to insult her character like this. It's like he couldn't even recognize his mom anymore.

Aarti, who was still in Yash room heard everything loud and clear. She covered her ears with her bare hands as tears rolled down her cheeks. She knew that Gaitre hated her, but accusing her of sleeping with Yash was too much to listen to. Unable to listen any longer, she got up and locked herself in his bathroom.

"Nothing happened between us, you hear me"

He finally said and she looked at him.

"Then explain to me why she's in your bed at 10 in the morning, naked. Explain why you've been ignoring your fiancé calls and sending her to voicemails"

Gaitree looked at her son. He looked so unbothered by all of her questions, making her worried. She wondered how Aarti managed to find her way back into his life.

"If you must know, then listen carefully. But after this I need you to drop this topic"

He glared at her and she looked on. Yash explained how Prashant tried to take advantage of Aarti, making her unconscious. How he brought her home and she was shivering.

"I did what I had to, to ensure her safety"

Yash sat on the sofa and his mom followed.

"Aarti did nothing wrong"

He looked at her and Gaitre sighed.

"I know girls like Aarti, girls that fake their assaults for attention. I'm sure she planned this"

Gaitre tried to touch Yash hand.

"You know girls like Aarti, but you don't know her. The Aarti I know would never fake something like this"

Yash knew Aarti would never fake something like this for attention. He felt sickened that his mom would even suggest this.

"I'm just worried that Aarti might be taking advantage of you, son. I don't trust her"
