"hey guys, sorry I'm late." Calum said walking through the back door with, you'll never guess who, Jessica.

I sent her a glare and she smirked.

"soo.." Luke said breaking the awkward silence.

"how was it Becca?" Jessica turned and asked me.

"how was what?" I sneered back at her.

"Ashton." she smirked.

I rolled my eyes and tried to ignore her but before I knew it I was up on my feet and so was she.

"what the hell Jessica? you know it's not true because you started it!" I snapped in her face.

"hmm..I don't see any proof?" she said looking around obliviously.

"you know what!" I yelled getting ready to punch her across the face.

Calum grabbed my wrist before I could.

"Calum! no, I need to hit her!" I said struggling.

"Becca! come with me." he yelled scaring me so I did what I was told.

"what the hell is your problem?" he snapped.

I immediately looked up at him and raised my eyebrows.

"my problem?" I argued back.

"first of all she wasn't even fucking invited and second of all she's the one who started it. Calum..you know she started that rumor," my eyes softened, "she's only using you to get to me. she wants to ruin my life Cal, you need to understand that?"

"I can't believe.. you would accuse her of that!" his tone changed from soft to loud real quick.

"I can't believe you're on her side!"

"she's my girlfriend I'm supposed to be."

"yeah, but I'm your friend."

" you were." he said hatefully and walked past me purposefully bumping into my shoulder. I just stood there in shock and sadness.

before I knew it Calum had taken Jessica and left.

I just stood. alone.

"babe? are you okay?" not even Michael calling me babe could cheer me up.

I fell to my knees and began to sob into my hands. I felt Michael's warm arms wrap around my waist comforting me.

"what happened?" he asked worried.

"she won." was all I could choke out.

"baby, don't say that."

"no! she won! she took Calum. you know what he said to me? he said that we were friends and he took her side. he doesn't believe me. I bet he thinks the rumor is true!" I spilled out. Michael didn't say a word he just rubbed my back comforting me.

I felt three more sets of arms wrapping around me. I looked up and saw Luke, Ashton, and Ali all hugging me.

"Becca, you're staying the night." Ali said not asking but demanding.

"okay. I'm glad I have you guys still." I cracked a fake smile at all of them.

"well I'm having Luke and Michael spend the night then." Ashton stated.

"Ashton I don't care what you do." Ali said bluntly.

"well..." Ashton said pretending to be hurt.
