Jay's POV

"Iris has some damn good skills to be an officer if she wanted to," I nodded as Lucy looked at me. "You can't get anything past her."

"Yeah, okay. Boot, what's the status?" Tim asked.

"There wasn't a Mr. Sebastian Cabot in first class or economy on the flight information that was given to me," Lucy stated. "I'm sorry." Iris scoffed. "Excuse me?"

"That wasn't towards you," I replied. "Would you excuse us, please?"

"Sure," Tim nodded.

"Iris," I pulled her away. "Are you sure the flight information you had was correct?"

"As correct as the email account we share and the information that Ethan passed to me," Iris replied as she handed me her phone. "It's all there. I know he is on that flight."

"What if he never boarded?" I asked.

"Hey," Alexandra walked up to us. "What's going on?"

"Either Sebastian missed his flight or he never boarded," Iris replied. "He was supposed to land an hour before we went on."

"I'm sorry," Alexandra stated.

"You know what? It's fine," Iris stated. "I'll see you back at the hotel, okay?" Alexandra nodded and walked away. "I wanna know what happened to him."

"I'll call Voight and put Intelligence on it, okay?" I assured. Iris nodded. "Everything is going to be alright." Iris and I decided we were going to stay in LA for a bit. Alexandra went back to Tennessee to rework her tour set. A few days went by. I woke up to my phone ringing. I picked up. "Yeah?"

"Halstead," Voight stated. I quickly sat up. "Did I wake you?"

"It's 6 in the morning, Voight," I replied. "Did you find him?"

"Everything looks clean," Voight replied. "A little too clean."

"He's one of the richest in Chicago."

"Why are you so worried about this?"

"Well, it's not me. It's Iris. That's her husband," I replied. "She wants him found. He missed her first show and he couldn't bother to show up to her second? I don't know." I sighed. "He doesn't seem like the one to flake out after everything he's been through with Iris. Four months only to be this way? It doesn't make sense."

"We'll keep digging," Voight stated. I looked at the clock. "It'll be nice if you came back to help."

"I'll see what I can do," I sighed and hung up. I went back to sleep. I woke up to the smell of coffee. I sat up and looked towards the kitchen. Iris was pouring two cups of coffee. "You're up."

"Morning sleepy head," Iris smiled.

"You seem to be in a good mood today," I replied. I walked over to her. "What has you feeling this way?"

"Well, I woke up today and chose happiness," Iris replied as she handed me a cup. "I'm not going to do anything until I hear from Sebastian." I nodded as she took a sip of her coffee. "That's all I can do."

"Okay," I smiled. "I can handle that."

Sebastian's POV

My phone kept going off. I looked at it and ignored it. I felt Ethan's gaze on me. "If you have something to say, Ethan, say it," I stated.

"Sir, Iris has been calling and messaging every single day," Ethan nodded. "Are you just going to keep dodging her calls and messages?"

"Actually, she hasn't contacted me today, which makes me worried," I sighed as I stood up. "It means she either came back to Chicago or she's given up."

"I don't mean to overstep, but what exactly are you trying to accomplish here?" Ethan asked. "Ignoring her and missing her shows is only going to cause you two to grow apart."

"And that's exactly what I'm doing," I stated.

"What?" Ethan asked.

"You heard me."

"Why are you trying to push her away?" Ethan asked. "She's pregnant with your child."

"The child will be taken care of. She's gonna have a better life without me in the picture," I nodded. "She only agreed to marry me because her sister didn't want to."

"But she's told you she loves you."

"It doesn't matter, Ethan," I replied as I gathered my papers. "Get me the best divorce lawyer in the city. I'm going to remove my name from the current bank account we share." Ethan raised a brow. "I'll continue to make deposits into the account, but the deposit will be split in two."

"But sir," Ethan sighed. "She owns half of the company now."

"That's why I am going to continue making the deposits into the account," I stated. "I'm not going to leave her with nothing."

"But you're going to make her feel like she's nothing?"

"No, Ethan, you're twisting my words."

"To be fair, sir, she hasn't seen you for almost 2 weeks. That's gonna feel like a lifetime to her after waking up next to you for the past 4 months."

"What do you expect me to do?"

"Tell her the truth. Tell her or I will," Ethan stated. I looked at him. "Sir, no offense, I would and if you fire me, I'm sure Miss Webb will have no problem hiring me back."

"After everything we've been through, you'd switch sides, just like that?"

"Honestly? At least I know Miss Webb won't cost me my job," Ethan stated. "If you still haven't told Miss Webb when she's served those divorce papers, I will tell her myself."

"Sir, you can't go in there," Sherri stated as a man walked in, followed by her.

"Sherri, it's okay," I stated, noticing his badge.

"Okay," Sherri stepped out.

"Sergeant Hank Voight," he held out his hand. "CPD Intelligence."

"Sebastian Cabot," I replied, shaking his hand. "What can I do for you?"

"Your wife's seems to be awfully worried about you," Hank stated. "You might want to give her a call."

"I did that about an hour ago," I lied. "If you don't mind, I have an important meeting soon." He nodded and left. "Now I know something's up."
