Iris's POV

Tim stopped me from walking into the conference room. "Tim, what's wrong?" I asked. He sighed. "I have to do this meeting."

"Do you really?" Tim asked.

"Yes," I nodded. "Come on." We walked inside. "Good morning, everyone. Sorry I'm late."

"You're not late," Sebastian replied. "We're just early."

"Perfect," I smiled. "Okay, so, the first order of business —"

"I'm sorry, are you pregnant?" Erin asked.

"Yes, but that doesn't affect how I do my job," I pointed. "Uhm, anyways, I am opening a sub-company to INS in Los Angeles," I stated. "That is why we are here. Now, if you want to apply to a position there, you are more than welcome to." I pointed at Ethan and he pulled up a PowerPoint. "I give you the first ever Advanced Placement."

"What's the purpose?" Jayden asked.

"To empower teens and young adults that they can became what they want to be," I stated. "We are just starting off, so only a few career choices will be given."

"What occupations are concrete?" Dale asked.

"Entertainment, psychology, law enforcement and business management," I nodded. "Oh, as well as paramedic and firefighter."

"Who's teaching the classes?" Erin asked.

"Entertainment will be covered by my best friend, Alexandra Kay. Officer Lucy Chen of the LAPD will assist in psychology." I pointed at Tim. "Officer Tim Bradford will conduct law enforcement as he is a training officer with the LAPD. I will be taking care of business management and being a paramedic." They all looked at me. "The business is set to start after I have my baby, okay?" I sighed. "Being a firefighter will be taught by LAFD's Captain Bobby Nash of the 118."

"Why us?" Jayden asked.

"Iris has a business to run and she needs a board team, "Sebastian replied. "If you get the job, we will take care of your first 2 months. We'll put you in a nice AirBNB." I looked at him. "You will use those 2 months to look for a place. If you find one, let us know and we will take care of the first month's rent."

"You do not have to reimburse us," I nodded. "You're dismissed." Everyone left the room but Sebastian, Ethan, Tim and I. "If you don't have any other question about this project, I'll find my way out."

"Iris," Sebastian stated. I turned and looked at him. "Can you guys give us the room?"

"No," Tim nodded.

"Tim, I'll be fine," I stated as Ethan left. "I'll be right out." Tim rolled his eyes and walked out. I closed the door but I could feel Tim looking at us through the glass. "Sorry about him. He's new to this whole thing."

"What happened to Jay?" Sebastian asked.

"He's in Chicago, I'm in LA," I looked at Sebastian. "So, why'd you do it?"

"Do what?" Sebastian asked.

"File for divorce? Knowing I'm carrying your child. The child that I'm giving birth to next month," I stated, standing my ground. "I thought we talked about it. I told you I didn't want a divorce. You've told me you loved me. What changed?" He sighed. "Did you even love me?"

"Of course I did," Sebastian replied.

"You've got a funny way of showing it when you just threw me out like trash instead of talking to me like an adult," I replied. He took a step towards me and I took a step back. "Just don't." I put my hand in front of me. "Stay where you are."
