Iris's POV

"Uhm, it would be nice to have our wedding on our anniversary day," I stated. "Let me ask Nyla and Angela. They both had a wedding while pregnant."

"You will still marry me while pregnant?" Tim asked.

"Yes," I nodded. I walked to Tim. "I will marry you any day of the week." There was a knock on the door and I opened it. "Hey, Angela."

"Hey, hey, hey," Angela smiled as she walked in. "So, I got your email and if you're wanting to have the wedding in about 2 months, we're going to need to send out invitations in the next few days." I closed the door as she walked in. "Have you thought about dresses? The place I got mine is having a sale and if you want, I can go with you."

"Uhm, thanks, Angela, but I wanted to bounce the ideas off of you," I replied. "My best friend, Alex, and I will get everything put together."

"Let me help you," Angela stated.

"I'll email you a guest list and you can design the invitations," I stated. "You can send me designs and I will tell you know which ones I like."

"Angela, we will let you know," Tim replied. Angela left. "Are you sure you don't want something quick and simple?"

"I had quick and simple without the people I love," I stated. "I want to do this right, with the people I call friends and family." Two months went by. I was standing in the dressing room of my company's building. Alexandra was zipping me into my dress. "Thank you."

"You are a beautiful bride," Alexandra smiled

"You are a beautiful bride," Alexandra smiled.

"Thank you, again," I smiled. "And thank you for giving me away and standing with me."

"I'm glad you're letting me be part of your special day," Alexandra smiled. "Your original escort isn't a good friend if he flaked."

"Yeah," I nodded. There was a knock on the door and Alexandra opened it. "Jay?"

"I'll give you two some time," Alexandra stated and walked outside.

"I thought you weren't going to make it," I stated as the door closed.

"Iris, I'm not here for your wedding," Jay stated. "I'm here because I don't want to see you marry the wrong guy."

"I'm not marrying the wrong guy, Jay," I stated. We heard commotion coming from the auditorium. "You've got to be kidding me!" I ran into the auditorium and almost everyone cleared out. Tim was knocked unconscious. We got him to the hospital and I was sitting next to his bedside. He woke up and held my hand. "Hey, you're gonna be okay."

"What happened?" Tim asked.

"Well, the doctor came in while you were still unconscious, but those sharp pains, you were feeling the other day, was because of the bullet fragment that they didn't take out when you were shot a few years back," I looked at Tim. "Now, it seems to be pressing on a nerve near your spinal cord, and they're wanting to remove it. Knowing you, you would want to take the surgery, because leaving the bullet in you would be riskier since it's near your spinal cord." He squeezed my hand. "I'll be back. Uhm, I'm going to grab a bite to eat." I stood up. "Uhm, Sergeant Grey is your room buddy. He's got food poisoning."
