I woke up early today. I wanted to return the scuba gear without disturbing the Cameron's.
I slowly and quietly dropped the tanks on the floor and creeped away carefully.
The boat looked empty. At least, that's what I observed.
"Leaving so soon?" Rafe asked. "Most girls would kill to even breathe the same air as me."
"Fascinating. You do you realize the world doesn't revolve around Rafe Cameron, right?" I provoked.
He got on his feet and walked near me. "So what about you?"
I walked further away from him. "What about me?"
He got closer every time we spoke. Soon enough, I was so close to him I could feel him breathing on my neck.
I peered into his eyes. He placed his eyes on my lips. I stared at his, then rolled my eyes. I playfully pushed him away.
"I'm sorry, I'm kind of in a relationship,"
I laughed while stepping off the boat.•••••••••••••••••••••••••
I slept in the back of the Twinkie. I opened my eyes and saw lines imprinted on my arm.
I wiped my arm and sat up. John B later came in and was talking super fast.
"Wait. Okay, so you mean to tell me Kie, our friend Kie kissed you," I heard JJ say.
I lifted my head towards them.
John B nodded his head. "Yeah, bro. She kissed me."
JJ brought his hands in front of him and mimicked a kiss. "Was it like this or..."
"Kiara kissed you!" I bursted out. I sat in the front of the Twinkie.
"What is she doing here?" John B asked.
"That's not the point. Kiara kissed you?" I asked him.
"Yeah."
"When?"
"Yesterday, after Peterkin came by."
JJ stopped the car out front of Lana Grubbs house. John B got out of the van and opened the door for me. I took his hand and jumped out.
"Do you guys hear that?" I asked.
It sounded like things were being thrown across the room. JJ motioned his hand to his mouth.
"Sounds like yelling," JJ whispered.
John B pushed me and JJ against Mrs. Grubbs wall outside.
"What was that for?" I questioned.
"Those are the guys from the marsh," John B stated.
Me and JJ dipped our heads out just a little. I quickly pulled JJ and me back.
John B already got a move on. We crawled towards the front of the house. I could hear Mrs. Grubbs crying.
The marsh boys came out and started yelling things to Lama. They got into their car and rode off.
I rushed into the house and practically slammed my body on the frame of the front door. To stop myself from going any further.
