I walked up to Barry's trailer. I knocked on the door and waited for him answer.
"Wait!" Someone yelled.
Barry opened the door. He had a bright smile on his face, then it slowly faded. Instead he smirked.
"I gotta go to work, but yah girl here," Barry said.
Barry walked out of the trailer. Rafe stood in the door. He walked outside and closed the door behind him.
"Your dad said you would be here," I told Rafe. "What happened?" I asked him.
He walked out with his hand on his head. I took a step back with my arms crossed.
"My dad kicked me out. Yesterday. So, I guess I'm living here now," Rafe informed me.
"With Barry?" I asked him. I looked to the left at Barry. "No offense," I told him.
"None taken," Berry said. He shook his head.
I turned back to Rafe. "Sorry, Berry. But I'm stealing him from ya," I apologized.
I took Rafe's hand and walked away from the trailer home.
"Why wouldn't you tell me about this?" I asked him. He shrugged his shoulders. "I would've let you stay at my house."
He continued shaking his head. "No," he told me. "Your parents hate me."
I smiled at him, knowing he was right. The only boys might parents allow in my bedroom is John B, Pope, and JJ.
"I'm sorry," I apologized. Rafe leaned in and pulled my face into his. He pressed his lips on mine, then backed up. I was smiling at him so much I couldn't contain it.

"Are you gonna give us a hand, or just stare at Kie all day?" I asked Pope.
"What? Yeah," Pope replied. "Okay. So, we get this boat winch out, bring it to the basement, drill into the floor. We lower you down and get as much as we can."
"Let's hope he gets a lot more this time," I laughed.
"I tried to get what I could. You didn't see a skull down there, like I did," John B defended.
"And you didn't have a crazy lady chasing you with a fire poker," I added.
John B nodded his head and pointed a stick at me. "Fair enough."
Pope looked at John B. "This time we won't drop you," Pope said.
"Yeah. That would be nice," John B shared. He smiled at Pope.
"That's very convincing, Pope," I said.
I walked over to Kie. All of us watched her burn the gold into a circle. She lifted it up and showed us. I nodded my head in satisfaction and held my hand in an ok gesture.
John B drove the Twinkie to a pawn shop not too far from town.
"Good job melting it down, Dr. Frankenstein," JJ cracked a joke.
"Like you could've done any better," Kie said.
"I could have done much better. I took a welding class," JJ debated.
