The Cameron's are throwing the Midsummers party. Everyones attending. By everyone I mean Pope, Kie, and I.

I don't plan on messing with Rafe tonight. I'll retrain myself, if I can help it.

I walked out back to the yard. I stood still, until I saw Pope helping his dad set up.

I smiled and walked with Kie over to Pope.

"Excuse me, sir. Do we have to shrive these ourselves?" Kie joked in an accent.

"You might ruin our dresses," I joked.

Pope was annoyed, until he turned around and saw us standing there.

"Let's hope this year's Midsummers party isn't a total flop," I exclaimed.

Pope hugged Kie and I. "Yeah. My dad has me grilling all day," Pope said.

"Have you ever seen this many Kooks in one place?" Kie asked.

"Not unless, you include every Midsummers party," I replied.

"We're in the lions den," Kie said, observing all the Kooks.

"Exactly," Pope said.

Ward and Rose walked out the back door. They had to make their grand entrance.

Rose wore a crown that resembled the Statue of Liberty.

"What is she wearing?" I asked.

"She's definitely going to poke someone's eye out with the that," Pope added. I laughed.

I turned around and walked over my parents. I smiled and ran to my mom. "Hi," I said, leaning in and hugging her. "I want expecting to see you here."

I let go and hugged my dad. "We couldn't leave you here alone," My mom joked.

I smiled and rolled my eyes. "I know," I laughed.

I looked back at all the Kooks. I stuck my finger to my tongue and made a gag sound.

I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see JJ standing there. He was wearing a black suit and bow-tie.

"Dude, what are you wearing?" I teased.

He looked down at his outfit. "What you don't like it?" JJ asked.

I peered at all the waiters roaming around the yard. They all wore the exact same thing as JJ. I gently punched JJ's shoulder. "How did you pull a job here?" I asked him.

He put his finger to his lip. "I didn't," he whispered to me.

I took a careful look at JJ. He appeared to have a black left eye. I placed my hand in it. "JJ, who punched you?"

He looked at me with one eyebrow raised. He raised his hand and pointed to his eye. "Oh. This?" He wondered. "My dad got a few hits in."

I looked at it even harder. "What an asshole. When are you going to stand up for yourself. I mean, seriously."

He shrugged his shoulders. "It doesn't bother me," he hesitated.
