Percy's POV:

Annabeth and I sat on my bed in my dorm room at New Rome University. She was curled against my side with her face buried in a book. Sometimes I forget Annabeth was Dyslexic and ADHD because she likes to read so much. I guess it's because she's a daughter of Athena. I myself  try to avoid reading at all costs, but when you're a demigod there's not much else to do for entertainment. I played with Annabeth's hair and stroked her cheek giving her occasional kisses on her forehead. Rain pounded on the roof above us and lightning struck through the air. Zeus must be really mad.

I watched as Annabeth's eyelids slowly drooped. After a few minutes she was asleep, her head on my chest. I took the book out of her hands and put a book mark on the page she had left off on. I pulled the blankets up over us and slowly wrapped my arms around her body, pulling her closer to me. I breathed in her familiar scent of  vanilla and honey. This past week had been filled with sleepless nights. One of us would wake up from a nightmare and the other would comfort them. It was a never-ending cycle. I was glad that she was sleeping for once. I gently pulled my arm out from under her and pushed the blonde curl in her face away.

-----------TIME SKIP------------

Annabeth began to stir and her eyes fluttered open. She looked up at me and our eyes met, green on gray.

"Hey Seaweed Brain." She said groggily.

" Hey Wise Girl." I replied planting a kiss on top of her head.

" How long was I asleep?" She asked.

" A little over three hours."

" Percy," she started," you could have woken me up."

" I know, but I wanted to let you sleep."

A smile tugged at the corner of her lips and and buried her head back into my chest.

" What about you?" She asked her words muffled.

" What about me?"

" Did you sleep?"

" No, I wanted to be up in case you had a nightmare again." I replied

"Percy, you didn't need to do that, you need sleep too."

" I'm fine Beth."

" Are you sure? You look really tired." She said.

I had to admit I was exhausted . Lately I had barely gotten any sleep and my eyelids felt like lead, begging me to close them.

" Ok, I might have lied a little." I replied.

" Go to sleep Seaweed Brain, I'll be right here if you need me."

Annabeth rested her head on top of mine and entangled her fingers in my hair.  Her other hand drew lazy shapes on my back. Almost immediately, my breathing slowed and I fell fast asleep.

Sorry, this oneshot was a bit short, as I have been busy studying for finals. Again, if you have any suggestions, corrections, or story requests please comment.Hope you enjoyed the story!
