Hey, it's Sophia! This story was requested by writingforfun222. It will be at least a few parts long, but I will probably write other one shots in between the parts. Trigger warning: This story contains talk of food, eating disorders, and body dysmorphia. Please do not read this if you are sensitive to any of these topics. I myself have struggled with anorexia, bulimia, and body dysmorphia, so I would warn against reading this if you are actively struggling. Also a reminder that not all eating disorders look the same and you are still valid if yours did/does not look like how it is portrayed in this story. I am not in any way, shape, or form promoting eating disorders and body dysmorphia. You can always message me if you need to talk/want support. Please comment if you have any requests, questions, or corrections. Hope you enjoy the story!

I walked up the steps to the Athena cabin and knocked on the door.
"Hey Annabeth, are you in here?" I called
"Yeah, door's unlocked." She answered.
I walked inside and took in the familiar sight of tidy bookshelves and neatly made bed in a row. Annabeth was sitting on her bed reading a book as usual, a thin stream of sunlight shining on her from through the window.
Ever since Tartarus, Annabeth hadn't been eating much and I was worried about her. It started out slowly, she would skip a meal here and there, but it quickly became bigger. She now only ate one small meal a day or even less, which wasn't good for the amount she exercises. There was no denying something was wrong.
Everyday she seemed to get worse, her skin would get paler and her hands grew shakier. I asked Will about it and he told me Nico was the same when he struggled with anorexia. I try to ignore that thought, but I don't know what else could be wrong.
"I Iris Messaged my mom last night, and she said we could come over tonight for dinner. Wanna go?" I asked, sitting down on the bed next to Annabeth.
A look of fear briefly flashed across her face, but it returned to normal.
" Of course I want to go Seaweed Brain." She said, setting down her book on her nightstand and putting a bookmark in it.
We talked for a while, but I could tell her mind was somewhere else.
Finally I said, " Annabeth, I noticed you haven't really been eating lately and when you do you barely eat. It's not healthy with the amount of exercise you're getting and I just- I want to help you through this. I talked to Will and he told me Nico struggled with the same thing and he said he can help. I can't stand to see you like this."
Annabeth's eyes were glassy and wide as she stared at me in shock. When she saw my face, she quickly regained her composure.
" What do you mean? Percy, I'm fine. It's just sometimes I'm not very hungry is all. There's nothing wrong with me." She protested.
" Beth," I said, taking her hand," I know it seems like you're fine, but you're not. You haven't been eating and you're losing too much weight. It's not healthy."
" Percy, I'm fine, I promise. Now can we please stop talking about this?"
" Ok." I sighed.
---------TIME SKIP----------
I walked up the steps of my mom's apartment with Annabeth's fingers intertwined with mine. I couldn't get the thought out of my mind that something was wrong, but I didn't say anything because I didn't want to upset her. I knocked on the door and we were greeted by my mom, Paul, and Estelle.
I secretly hoped that tonight would cheer Annabeth up. If anyone could get her to eat it would be my mom, she loved Annabeth more than me.
We were ushered inside and my mom brought us to the table. It was filled with plates of steak, mashed potatoes, broccoli, and blue chocolate chip cookies.
My mom stacked our plates with food and I watched Annabeth as we ate. She ate most of the food, but I knew she was only eating as to not disappoint my mom.
After dinner, we were putting the dishes in the dishwasher. Annabeth's face paled and she leaned over clutching her stomach.
" I'll be right back." She said, running away.
I heard the bathroom door shut and I followed her. I opened the door and found her leaning over the toilet, gagging and vomiting.
"Annabeth! What happened?" I asked, giving her a cup of water and wiping her mouth.
I gathered her in my arms as she began to sob, hot tears running down her cheeks.
" I-I think it's just a stomach bug or something." She replied weakly.
I knew she was lying, but I didn't want to stress her out more, so I carried her off to my room and laid in bed with her until she fell asleep.
